Now lots of people in retrospect look at this day differently. Some say it is in the past. Let it go. Why are some still hanging on. Others look at the consequences of our action against Japanese cities. But those who lived through the war remember the agony of living under the threat of a vicious diabolical foe. Remember how without warning a blur of planes and ships unmercifully strafed and ravaged peaceful Hawaii like a fire storm out of nowhere. No, I still remember that prideful day when the war ended, and the killing of brave American soldiers stopped.
