Opening Stuff:
This
Iran deal looks more and more to be one of expediency than
that of intelligence. The news today that the UN says Iran can inspect itself is
like a gift card for the development a nuclear program.
I
got to say here Congrats to Salisbury North Carolina for
winning the Girls Little league Softball World Series. And of course, proudly
hail the girls from Warwick Rhode Island who lost in the Final to NC 4-2. You just
never know the talent of children who live right next door. And RI boys and
girls continue to prove year after year that they can match up to anybody
across the country in everything form music to sports to chess to leadership. Too
bad there are no opportunities to keep them here or bring them back when they
graduate from college.
My
gut tells me that we should be prepared for an ugly September-October
in Equityland. When the combative opinions of opposing Wall Street experts
begin to accelerate, you know somebody is trying to hold on to something that
is slipping away.
The
Question:
I like Jennifer Garner, and believe it or not, I had
a little pang of pain when hearing of her split with the Democrat demagogue. So
naturally I thought a good Q would be: What are the most expensive celebrity divorces?

look at Bernie Saunders success with a little glee.
After all, he is making The Hill sweat a bit. But, digging deeper we see that his
rise is also indicative of perhaps a musch less desirable changing trend in the
USA – the acceptance of Socialism. Bernie would be the real legacy of 0-Man. It’s
pretty easy to understand when you realize that over 150 million Americans are getting
benefits from the government. If you take out Social Security -- which
theoretically is savings contributed by working people -- there are 82 million
receiving Medicaid, 50 million on Food Stampls, 23 Mill in Women’s, Infant’s,
Children’s program, over 20M on SSI, 13 M in public or subsidized housing, and
more in other various Government Agency programs. So, we may tink that Bernie
is cute, but, nhe may represent a portion of America thatis significantly
bigger than what America used to be.
I
still can’t believe that Kenny Stabler, “The Snake”, was
not in the Football Hall of fame. He was only one of the all time clutch QBs I’ve
ever seen in the NFL. It looks like the senior committee will vote him in now…after
his death. Great.
I
was out playing golf yesterday in my favorite Pasture
style course when my partner and I noticed a new rooster cock-a-doodling away.
We both turned and agreed, “Cheat on your score and the cock crows three times.
Golf, the Honor System game – Builds strong hearts, and destroys sanity.
A
majority of people think that only way to have fun is to do
what they do. There are many happy places around the tis country and world, and
they are not defined by income, intellect, race, ethnicity, gender, or whatever
subdivision the demographers can find – only by the laughter and spirit in hearts.

Boxer Roy Jones Jr. has asked Putin for Russia citizenship.
What’s that all about? For every US boxer who leaves let one Mexican in.

The
Parking Lot: Chapter 10 continues…
There was
deep concern across the face sof the tribe as the listened to the words of
Elizabeth’s father. Richard, now deep into the shadows of the darkening forest,
heard words like “White intruders”; “More restrictions on the Tribes, Take away
their weapons”; “Time to rise against the white settlers.” “King Phillip is
angry”.
Richard searched
the crowd trying to connect with Elizabeth’s eyes. She would guide him, wouldn’t
she? His father and family have worked well with the Wampanoags. They would be
safe and life would continue. Richard who lived in this rugged world like a man
was having trepidations and concerns of a boy.
Murmuring
began among the people. The hum grew louder. He noticed heads turning to look
beyond the camp. He felt shielded but knew the tribes people saw all. They were
part of the forests and the fields to the sea. Richard alit from his horse to
make his profile smaller. Why am I doing this he thought? These are my friends.
Elizabeth is my love. Richard had a sixth sense too, and it told him to move away
and get to his father and family. He began walking down the heavily foliaged path.
The horse following, the hoofbeats sounding to him like the pounding of corn
into meal. He thought he heard something, and stopped. Motionless.
“Richard,”
came a whispering plea. He looked to see Elizabeth walking though a space
between mountain laurel. He smiled and moved quickly towards her, but her face
was rigid with determination. He took a step, but stopped when the powerful
figure of her father loomed behind her.
