For Spring Fever:
People
are just wandering; aimlessly strolling, hiking, biking, staring
at a cloud, adrift; mindless, entranced by the ripples in small stream. A Stephen King novel? Or just curiosity in a
new atmosphere, feeling the arousal of the new days of the earth reborn. Some just
stop their cars to meander through narrow paths lined with dead vines and reeds
in winter’s last grasp down to oceans edge to sense the life in cold seas adapting
to the warming sun, Nature rushes to life while people slow, to devour the
rush. Adolescent grass now energetic bright green; red hues in forests and
glades that surround. Acres of the first flowers in fields, always shades of
robust yellows, taking bows before the violet pains the scene. Is there anything
more hypnotic than the world bursting into color after winters greying sleep.
We have seen it all before, every year; yet every year it is a wonderment.
In
case you missed it, The New York Times just hired their third
conservative columnist in the last month – Bret Stephens a conservative Anti-Trumper
from the WSJ. The other two are David Brooks from the Weekly Standard and Ross
Douthat from the Atlantic Monthly.. You’d like to think that the typically anti
repub, left leaning grey old lady is being sorry for being so biased, but it is
just a case of business survival beating out ideologies.
Did
you see where The Obamas’ are vacationing on music mogul
David Geffin’s mega yacht in the South Pacific – along with yes-men Tom Hanks,
Bruce Springsteen and Oprah Winfrey. There is no truth to the rumor that Trump
is moving the Carl Vinson carrier group away from Korea down to those warmer
climes of Tahiti. There are just to many enemies in this world, and not enough
carrier groups.

The
Voice is getting serious, but I am quite furious at making
voting spontaneous, and curious if quick vote gets us winners spurious. Now I’m
not quite delirious, but I liked it when it was more mysterious. In other
words. How am I going to predict winners, when we already had them last nigth.
I guess all I can do now is comment on whether or not the best people won. I think for the most part they did, especially
on Alicia’s team. There was no question my mind that her three that stayed,
Chris Blue, Vanessa Ferguson and Stephanie Rice were far better than the three
who went home. Now for Blake, I would have loved to see Casi Joy, a powerful
country singer, to carry on. In think what upset the plan in Blake’s head was the
young singer Altyah Moulden being voted in. But she was outstanding last night.
Laruen Duski was other people fave, and I love her too. Blake then picked TSoul
over Joy which was a bit of a surprise, but he is a performer’s performer who
gives Blake area outside of the country audience. But, the absence of Joy is
making me sad. I thought Rice was amazing and just ahead of Blue and Ferguson
as the best of the night, and I always like Duski. BTW, If you remember the color
of the costumes of Alicia’s two lady winners, she had Red White and Blue win! So,
all in all it was not totally injurious.
If
the Dems win in Georgia expect a continuation of harassment
on the streets for the enxt four years. The progressive side of the Democrat
party feel emboldened, and will be more so with a supposed upset victory; they
are perfectly happy and quite adept at being pains in the rear ends.
The
big smart phone manufacturers keep on touting
thinner and thinner phones. Then they recommend a protective case which makes
them appear as fat as ever.
Whiole,
we in New England were celebrating Patriots Day yesterday,
out in Cleveland it was he traditional “Dyngus Day”
Ambulance
chasing personal injury lawyers love to dump on big business,
but without them there would be no pots of gold to fund their class action
businesses, and bank accounts. And that goes for the Elizabeth Warren/Bernie
crowd who need the continuity of a fat economy to continue the give-away programs.
Hate the capitalist, but hate more the moment they die.
The
Answer:
It was 1878, and Rutherford B. Hayes was president. It
is one of the oldest White House traditions.
Stop,
don’t move another god dammed inch. Bend over, pick a
daffodil waiving April winds, smell it, and break out into a ridiculous wide, rapturous
smile. Aaaaaaah! See you tomorrow.
