For Clarity:

If you rearrange the letters of fog and add an “L”, you get golf. Playing it in dense fog as I did this morning, is a real challenge. The unrelenting mist was so dense we had to yell so those on the Tee would know we were out of range. We couldn’t see the green ahead, but, it was great fun, even if it was only because it was morning, it was quiet and we were experiencing coastal living at its finest. Golf is even more challenging if while walking, you try to think of things for the Tids, like how many mini-phrases can I get from the letters F-o-g. Some came fast: Find our Government; Forgive our Government; Or as libs might say, F--- Our Government. How about Flag Over Gods-Country; Flags over Gripers; Flag of Glory!  Then we have the two sides of another national argument -- Friends of God; Foes of God. I’ll probably think of more as the day winds down. Here are a couple to end this miss I trapped myself into: Fix our Government and Friends of Gravy!

Aah, the Internet, Hackers and hookups. Don’t you feel comfortable? Yes, the state health officials here were astonished by the new info that show a huge rise in Syphillis (+233%), Gonorrhea (+44%) and Chlamydia (55%). Young people when interviewed said, “Why, it’s just so easy or find someone for the evening on the web.” I guess it isn’t love. Sometimes making things easy isn’t the best road to happiness. The internet can bring anybody into your private home, into even your bedroom.

Bannon 1; Trump 0. It looks like the Bannon, Palin, Phil Robinson and Brexit Quartet pushed their guy across the finish line in the Alabama Senate primary despite a big effort by Trump and Pence. If this political battle was war you’d have to say that while Trump fights the Dems and the left he is being outflanked by his own troops. Which is like a doomsday strategy. This is a very interesting political story on the make.

Germany’s Merkel is reading the tea leaves about as well as Hillary. Some are saying she didn’t see the Conservative, anti-immigration party making so many gains. Her life at the top just got harder. Maybe she could write a book – “Was ist passiert?”

Did you see where this morning the Washington Post or change their story about Obama telling Facebook to stop with the fake news from Russia. Oh, Obama did go to Zuckerman to complain about fake news finding its way to his site. One thing, the Wapo added “Russia” on their own. Yup, just made it up and made it news.

I liked a lot Errinn Hayes who played Donna, Kevin James TV wife in Kevin Can wait. Lee Remini was great with him on his old Queens show, but I thought Hayes was treated badly to make room for James’ old buddy. Kevin’s daughter’s casual mention of mom being dead on this year’s opener was pretty didn’t do justice to the woman who was funny and integral in the show.

Rick Pitino said this morning that his coaching days are over as yet another scandal hits his Louisville team. Pitino was a wunderkind her when he brought PC to the final four, but he has had many a serious slip-up during his lengthy career. Actually, when you think of all  the allegations against him, it’s a wonder he has lasted so long. It shows you what slick can accomplish.

You can probably beat Maduro in a war if you stop buying Citgo gas.

Maybe you have noticed that anything about kneeling instead of respecting the American flag is below the fold. Basically, I’m tired of this rhetoric. I have to say that Prez DT answered effectively when a Reuter’s reporter tried to slip in a gotcha question about whether or not he is preoccupied with the NFL situation to the detriment of Puerto Rico. The President said that he doesn’t think focusing on respect for America is a waste of time at all for any President, and in fact it doesn’t take much time to send out a couple of tweets. He went on to explain what the US had been doing for PR on an hourly basis.

I saw recently this photo of The “Statue” of Liberty with the caption: “I hope I’m not next”.

One of the current phenomena drawing a majority of Americans together is this thing about calling people racists. Why should decent citizens of this country be labeled similar to the of KKK or other so-called demonic organizations for not blindly following or accepting stupid ideas just because somebody says they are politically correct. What makes it worse is that the left seems or be constantly broadening the definition of the word “racist”. How long will it be until there no good, honest people remaining sympathetic to the positive sides of diversity and equality.

Some are saying that the press is looking to make Trump appear bad on PR to add to their objective of painting him as racist for the next election.

Conservative Catholics are becoming more aggressive in denunciations of some of Pope Francis liberalized policies.

So, I guess Trump is fighting the Left, North Korea, Maduro, Iran, and conservative Republicans.

Some altruistic people look at the kneelers and don’t like it because it hurts whatever the kneeler’s own cause may be. You don’t get adherents to your objective by desecrating the flag and in turn the country that has given you so much, some might say. It’s like a situation here where in a small town the teachers became super annoying to parents. It was so bad that the local Police union went to the teachers and told them that they were killing their chances by alienating the very people who approve contracts though their elected officials.

Thus, comes to an end, any more Tids discussion about kneelers. It’s over here. It was dumb idea to begin with and if it continues to grow, it even dumber. Ben Franklyn: “We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.”

The Answer:

Citgo began as Cities Service Company. It had a nice feel toit back then as I remember.

This would have been better and faster if my mind wasn’t so foggy.
