An aspirin would help.

Today's Tids Issue 3,989
For Pleasant Napping:

I feel like I have Spring fever,
But alas, we’re barely into fall
Perhaps that’s why I’m not so clever,
As I hit my head against the wall!
Ouch.

Trump has been making some pretty positive announcements lately. Too bad he interrupts the solid news with Tweets, “Terrific” and “Tremendous”

Nobody has more fun than a bunch of old guys having a good breakfast together.

I don’t believe any President should offer an opinion about any case still under the jurisdiction of the courts. You know, innocent until proven guilty. Many presidents have been guilty of it.

One new word that is getting real tired real fast is “Outlier”

The Question:
Name the last five UN Secretary Generals.

The Headlines:
--Stocks In Positive Territory; New Jobs Total 251K
--Rogue Twitter Employee On Last day Of Job Eliminates Trump Twitter Account.
--Nancy Pelosi Trying To Halt Talk Of Trump Impeachment.
--Trump Leaving For Asia; After Hawaii, He Will Visit Japan, SK, China, Viet Nam and Philippines.
--Elizabeth Warren Confirms Donna Brazil Spill That Hill Took Over DNC Till.
--Traitor Beau Walks; Punished With Dishonorable Discharge.

From what I hear, it is easier to shoot down a rocket when it is rising as opposed to waiting for the decent. Basically, this means we have to have a keen eye on NK at all times.

A new poll this morning says that 50% of millennials would prefer living under socialist government over Capitalist Democracy. The same poll also points out that 26% of Millennials don’t know the difference between Communism, Marxism and Capitalism.

If any baseball team has too many cooks to spoil the broth, it is the Boston Red Sox. If somebody doesn’t step up and take charge, 2018 could be painful for loyal fans.

Speaking of ineptitude, I heard a short talk this morning from a naval professor who will be busier than ever. He teaches ship handling at the Huge Naval War College here, and he revealed the circumstances and various snafus that caused the crashes of the Fitzgerald in in Tokyo and the McCain Singapore harbors that resulted in the deaths of 17 sailors. It is a tale of being too confident, not paying attention, not communicating, insufficient training, not following basic seaman procedures. A sad day in may ways.

I’m liking the Alabama/LSU and Clemson/NC State Games this weekend. In case you missed it, the top four right now for the big post season bowl games, The NCAA Football Playoffs, are Georgia, Alabama, Notre and Clemson. Alabama is second because Georgia wins by bigger margins. Observers say that Alabama is so good that they take out their first team at half time, and let the game run out. Clemson has to win big this week, as they received a bit of a gift being fourth place. (Probably out of respect for last year’s National Champ)

The next big change in the economy could be the right and/or the left trying to gain control of the Fed. This could be Powell’s big challenge. Upsetting tradition appears to be the new game in town.

Of all the supercilious Hollywood elite, Kevin Spacey may have just been the most condescending of them all.

You know, it is pretty apparent just looking around that many of the younger generation are captivated by socialistic promises. I personally believe that many teachers and certainly a majority of professors push the anti-capitalism message. Actually, I felt a little guilty a week or so ago when watching a couple of teachers lead their first grade class across an intersection in the capital of Bernie Sander’s state (Vermont). “There goes our next generation of communists, I mused silently.

If Kim wants to take out SK with artillery, we would probably be unable to stop it. But our response could surely annihilate NK. You have to hope that Kim knows that.

You have to watch some of these Apps real closely. For instance, it has been said that a site like Trip Advisor does not publish bad reviews of resorts…like “I was raped there.” Bad for business, they say.

Reading Between the Lines Movie Reviews:
--When I first read that critics were raving about “Lady Bird” I was wondering why anybody would want to see a movie about LBJ’s wife. But this is a mother daughter relationship film that audiences also like…a lot. The daughter fights against being like her mom, but know she is exactly like her. It is about relationships and how we are defined. A well woven story by the director.
--I wouldn’t go to the First over the top Bad Mom’s Movie and I am not all interested in A Bad Mom’ Christmas.
--Thor Ragnarok is a good adventure film, and it is funny as a bonus. It’s your basic race against time to save civilization from disaster. But the hero exhibits plenty of wry humor, and that is what makes it worth the dough. Will do well at the box office.

The Answer:
The current Secretary general is Antonio Guterres. Before him we had Ban Ki-moon, Kofi Annan, Boutros Boutros-Ghali, Javiar Perez de Cuellar, Kurt Waldhiem and U Thant. The first one I really remember was Dag Hammarskjold. The first was Trygve Lie.

Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!

I need a nap.
