Today's Tids Issue 4,650
Masks good; Blinders bad:
There is no question that young journalists of today are very well educated, and aware of the world via tweeting and instagramming and everything digitally virtual. But many seem terribly naive and quite myopic. And it seems to this observer that they don’t hear answers to questions very well, or they don’t understand the answers, or the don’t want to understand an answer that may preclude them from asking another redundant question.
It’s a terrible thing to see and have no vision. –Helen Keller
Now-a-days I put off little tasks until I can find a good 3/4-hour window in which to do them, in case I need a nap.
It will be interesting to see what kind of case US Attorney John Dunham is building on FBI misconduct. If favorable to admin, Trump would be wise not to tweet about the conclusions; to let them speak for themselves. But, he will.

Covid is not just about politics, it is all about politics
“The Voice” becomes a more apt title for this Emmy winning show as singers are stripped of their accoutrements in the at home singing challenges. Tomorrow we learn of the final Five. In the new trophies for all format, voting numbers will select the highest for each coach. Producers don’t want no coach whiners and sulkers on live TV. Overall, I didn’t feel a standout, but did see some singing better than others; a sort of an even-keel, sameness the 9 performances. But now, the contest is probably more about personality and fanbases than pure singing. I felt that Allegra was very good, but to become Nick’s finals contestant she will have to beat out Thunderstorm who is also an excellent singer, with perhaps a bigger following. I’m thinking Thunder takes it. I like both of Kelley’s singers. Micah is super talented, maybe as strong as anybody. But one of my favorites among them all. is Meghan. She has that nice raspy, deep country voice. I would vote for her and I believe she will edge Micah with Country backing. Blake’s threesome is very interesting. Joanna did not make it last night but to his other two, Tonisha and Todd were among the very best. In fact, it was obvious that the Judges loved Tonisha. But, Todd Tilghman has the popular vote, and now may be the favorites to win it all. Zan could have been great, but her song selection was only fair and she seemed to labor. Camm has an amazing voice. I think even better than Thunderstorm.
So, the voted in final four will be Thunder, Meghan, Todd and Camm. The sing-off for the instant save 5th spot will be mainly between Tonisha, Micah and Allegra unsee Zan and Joanna wake up. Zan could be the upset wild card, but Tonisha should take it.
Silence is golden, but duct tape is silver.
I was wrong about my headline on stocks above, referring to Monday as “lackluster”. During these days, any day when stocks don’t sink into the Marianna trench can never be called lackluster.
There aren’t really a lot of solution alternatives to most problems. Bickering just makes it sound that way.
Trump would be far better off if he let other people make the accusations against principle political foes.
Ethical/Morality Question: It was reported that Mexican drug gang leader Escamilla died in jail from Covid. Is that good news or bad news? He was a major supplier of cocaine to Cancun. He was in jail for many things including for his role in the decapitation of 12 innocents. Does that change your mind?
During the depression in the 1930’s, mothers would make clothes for their children out of flour sacks. When owners of flour mills saw that, they began making their sacks out of flowered material. Flour and flowers. or bread and clothing.
Have you read that beach goers will be able to get masks that match their bikinis? I hope they are big enough to cover the nose and mouth. If they are, they will be bigger than the rest of the bathing suit.

Maybe Socialism is an easier sell than I thought. Too many Americans seem awfully happy to take money that really isn’t there.
