Today's Tids Issue 4,785
Dreaming:
“My order for a new lumbar chair has been backordered.” *
I definitely think that the word “Science” is being way overused these days. I think Politicians must think it makes them look smarter. Hint: It doesn’t.
Did you happen to realize yesterday that parents broke their own rule and were allowing kids to use their phones at the dinner table! Yes, Zooming with family is permissible. I guess that says it is always good to be flexible to enable finding possibilities to meet challenges that may at first seem impossible.
Today begins the next big economic measurement – serious shopping. The markets have are now building in predictions for Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Small Biz Saturday. Now the market will pick up against estimates, and we all may smile until judgement day when it is revealed how well Christmas shopping compared to estimates that are driving the markets today. Yet, we went into this period with a downtick in consumer confidence, So, there is the mystery factor.
The Question:
Who is Lewis Hamilton?

It’s barely been three weeks, but I’m already tired of Joe B’s speeches. Actually, I have been tired of Presidential speeches for a long time. Too many seem more to me as the writings of handlers and Trump’s should have been the words of handlers. GWB aways had great opportunities to be significant but invariably missed it. Clinton was a sham. Maybe I have an authority figure complex, and that’s it. Actually, the only two I ever enjoyed were JFK and GHWB. At least they knew what a sense of humor was. Maybe all I’m looking for in a president is entertainment.
This Friday after TDay is always one of the most relaxed days of each year. Period.
Monday begins the Live portion of The Voice. I think they have a pretty good line-up this year. Interestingly, each judge has a good country singer, a genre that seems to have an advantage year after year in this competition, But there are many good singers. Two who have impressed me are John Holiday and young Carter Rubin, Of the I also like Jim Ranger, Madeline Consoer. At the end of the last Knockout on Tuesday, the four the “Saved” singers had sing-off with the winner to be announced at the beginning of Monday’s first “Live” show. I’m Picking Ryan Gallagher. The kid Carter Rubin, if he can keep it up, could be the favorite.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.
The latest Dem talking point seems to be that pardoning General Michael Flynn (A nice local Irishman) was the single biggest travesty of justice in the history of the universe. But the Nancy and Chuck and Adam (“Trump acting like organized crime figure.”) trio are well known for fictitious hyperbole. Now here is a simple fact – Pardon: “A pardon is a government decision to allow a person who has been convicted of a crime, to be free and absolved of that conviction, as if never convicted.” So basically, every president has released real or alleged convicted serious criminals. In fact, according to Pew research, Trump (33) and GHW Bush (74) pardoned the fewest of any president. FDR had the most at 2,819,followed by Truman, Ike, Woodrow, all over a1,000, then LBJ, Nixon, Cal, Herbert, Teddy, Jimmy C (V Child molester Peter Yarrow), JFK, Bill Clinton (Infamous thief and Iran collaborator Mark Rich), Ron R, Taft, Ford (Nixon), Harding, McKinley (Or is that President Denali?), Obama (Only 212 pardons, but 1,937 sentence commutations including traitor Chelsea Manning) and GWB. You got to figure that among all of those pardons, there were some seriously bad people. It’s too bad the media doesn’t do their homework to put everything in perspective. Isn’t that why we protect “Freedom of the Press”?
A recent study found that women who carry a little extra weight live longer than the men who mention it.
