Today's Tids Issue 5,033
May they have Peace:
Today marks 100 years since the remains of an unknown soldier was interred in Arlington National Cemetery. To most Americas the military people who we rely so heavily for our continued safety are unknow, faceless men and woman out three every day with their lives on the line. But to parents, wives and husbands and children, and great friends, they are sparks of life; they are smiles and offer warm arms to comfort; concerned ears that listen. And are the promise pf a future for all of those sitting at home hoping that phone call never comes. Veterans Day may be the greatest holiday of the them all. It is certainly a day that should be wrapped around Thanks. No turkey necessary. God bless them all.
I see where it is expected that OSHA will be relying on informants to snitch companies that don’t adhere to the dictatorial vaccination Mandate. “The government will rely on informers to identify violations of the order: employees who will presumably be concerned enough to turn in their own employers if their co-workers go unvaccinated or fail to undergo weekly tests to show they’re virus-free.” It seems to me that a lot of the Veterans we honor today fought against a certain German country that promoted neighbor and even family member snitching for the good of the state!
All of the aromas of the sea,
Are quite pleasing to me;
Including day old fish,
Though better on a dish.
With dill, butter and white wine.
The Question:
Name 5 wars in which fellow Americas died or were wounded for us. Bonus: Name the five best movies of Demi Moore

What do you call a French guy mauled by a lion? Claude. (Thanks to prolific reader punster).
The world maybe falling apart ad all people are talking about is Aaron Rogers non-vaccination.
One of the most overused adjectives in journalism today is “Historic”.
Well, the Ole Tids Pickers got beat up a little last week producing an unacceptable 8-8, bringing us to 89-49 (65%). Going backwards is not fun. The big and harder to predict games are Cleveland-New England, New Orléans – Tennessee, Minn-LA Chargers, Seattle-Green Bay, KC-LV and LA Rams and San Fran The big game for me and my Cleveland friends, and maybe the most important game of the AFC week is the beloved Pats and the venerable Browns. Cleveland awoke last week, but the Pats have been building a efficient, consistent force after a slow start. Chubb maybe out for the Browns. But their O Line is pretty god. I think our D will stop them, I pick, Duh, P-a-t-s! Tennessee is looking quite strong now, eve after some weird losses. New Orleans is well-coached and always there. But QB is a question again. I got Titans. Minn has shown it can be formidable, LA Chargers have shown that they can be inconsistent like Minn. This is a tossup, but my inkling says Minn. If Rogers plays (He is legally eligible again on Saturday for Sunday) I’ll pick the Pack. Without Aaron it is a coin flip. The coin flip (Really!) came up Seattle. Finally, the big battle of California is between the LA Rams who got upset badly last week facing the Sa Fran, a team that finds ways to lose and upsets their fans. I have to pick the Rams.
Of the rest I have Baltimore over Miami, Dallas, which looked inept last week coming back to beat pesky Atlanta. The Jets have been battling a bit better, but Buff who looked lass like Dallas last week, will wake up and win. Have to pick Pitt over Detroit. Jax really surprised last week but Indy needs a win and is better. Tampa Bay will veto WFT. And Arizona will take Carolina, another team without a first line QB (Darnold out for 4 weeks). Finally, I like Denver over Philly. But this will be a very good game.
As I walked the beaches this morning staring at more dog pawprints tan human shoeprints, I got an idea for a new novel As younger generations seem to be intent on having fewer children over Climate fears, I’m thinking that the future battle for global supremacy will be between evolutionary packs pf intelligent schooled dogs and AI driven machines. Humas will be secure in their beach front second homes waiting each night for meals served by Door Dash.
Today is National Origami Day, just I case you have a few sheets of paper lying around.
The almost hysterical catch-up growth spurt of all of these streaming entertainment options seems quite disorderly at this moment. I see lots of amalgamations in the not-too-distant future.
Regardless of why, we still have a lot more demand than supply, and that is good for increased revenue. Stock markets like that even as they pause occasionally to worry about inflation!
Another industry growing in a flopsy mopsy fashion is the EV car building business. I expect to see mergers and buy-outs here too.
The Answer:
Americas fighting for freedoms have died in the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War, Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War and all the other non-wars like Afghanistan and Iraq. Bonus: Demi has been in a wide variety of films. According to Rotten Tomatoes her best was a tribute film for Patrick Swayze called “I am Patrick Swayze”. The rest going up are If These Walls Could Talk, Margin Call, A Few Good Men, Ghost, Reconstructing Harry, Love Sonia, Beavis And Butthead Do America, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and at #10, The Joneses. Personally, I liked her movie “Disclosure” as well as any. That is number 9 another list that has A Few Good Men #1. The rest in order on this list are Ghost, GI Jane, Mr. Brooks, Austin Powers: International Man…, Now and Then, Flawless, Margin Call, Disclosure and The Seventh Sign.
Happy Veterans Day, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!
Kate Smith singing GOD BLESS AMERICA
