Today's Tids Issue 5,466
Just to run barefoot in the sand:
Always find the light.
Within, great resources lay.
Be strong, resolute.
Just practicing my haiku. It's a nice poetic exercise often used to examine values. It's learning how to express ideas and thoughts using the fewest words.
That is unlike tonight where for the State of the Union words will be as uncontrollable as government spending. Hey, they'll all be about spending for votes. I will not be resolute enough to stay with it regardless of how much light I find within.
I'm happy to see how quickly the Alabama State legislature acted to protect Vitro Ferritization patients and providers and that it was signed immediately by Governor Kay Ivey. Many say there should be more, but it's a start.
Gamblers are taking over the USA and that means people can bet on just about anything, and that includes tonight's SOUTO. They have odds on how many times JB will name Trump or Obama and how many times he flubs or misnames a foreign Country. What is interesting are the odds on the subjects he will mention most often during the speech. The top four are The Border, Ukraine, Guns, and security. Notice anything missing there -- like inflation and the economy, stupid. The odds makers are calling for a very short speech, meaning the handlers have implied that Joe has just so much energy for any given night.
The Question:
A new Harris Poll conducted online reveals the ten most popular Easter Candies? Name them.

The great thing about walking a beach in 40 degree weather with 25 35 mph winds is that there are no people there. And the waves are awesome.
Is it interesting how the stock market can go from jump-off-a-building dismal to the skies the limit just because Powell spoke. Wall Street is an emotional wreck.
A reader informed me after I tried for a little humor about Lithium and Salt, that “Lithium is mined from salt deposits! Sodium is mined from salt deposits! Chlorine is extracted from salt deposits! Magnesium is extracted from salt deposits!” And popcorn needs more salt. Thank God for salt mines.
You probably know that teh words salary comes from Salt. Yes, the English word salary was derived from the Latin salarium, to the time when Roman soldiers were paid in salt for their service. Salt was a highly-prized and sought-after commodity due to its ability to preserve food and was, in part, also responsible for the development of civilization. The Latin root was first applied in the French word Saliere which moved across the channel to be anglicized into the English Salary. There is a group that says r Roman soldier part of the story is a myth, but there is no question that salary was from te Latin “sal” which meant salt which was used to pay taxes in Rome. Now the derivation of wages is from Politicus Americanus and means at a minimum, buying votes,
What is driving political analysts and pollsters crazy are, “Not Trump”: Republicans.
The Washington Post writes today that America is running out of electricity! Bring back waterfalls and hamsters.
Who woulda thunk it back in 1958 that the lowly marshmallow Peep would grow to be at the top of the heap along with chocolate bunnies and buttercream eggs. If it was stock would you have bought it?
Tonight's NBA game between the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets coudl be important. And should be very good. As dominant as the Celtics appear to be, they have not done well against the better Western Conference teams
