Today's Tids Issue 5,472
Just one more:
Well, weather or national/global problems somehow disappear when the Irish begin marching through town. I've seen every year where people of all nationalities and other human segmentations are Irish happy as one big smiling crowd. Unfortunately, some will be way too happy.
One of the oddities in this year’s run up to the November election is the lack of money being raised by the RNC. It turns out that a large percentage of Americans are reluctant to give money to the Repub National Committee for fear it will be used to for Trump Legal expenses as opposed to where they want it -- supporting House and Senate candidates across the country. I'm sure having Trumps daughter Laura as Co-Chair of the RNC doesn’t help that cause either. But RNC says none of their money raised goes to Trump legal problems, as all that money comes from Trumps own Presidential Campaign War chest. What a mess.
My grandmother Iris is 80% Irish.
Somehow today, politicians have no interest for me today. And that includes Irish politicians
The Question:
What US Cities are considered most Irish Irish.

Bernie, Bernie, Bernie. America’s reigning socialist is proposing a bill that would reduce the work week from 40 hours to 32 hours with no pay change. That is basically a 25% increase in hourly wages for producing less. Thats not how to make America great again. It's how to make America subservient to government power.
An Irish priest is driving down to New York and gets stopped for speeding in Connecticut. The state trooper smells alcohol on the priest's breath and then sees an empty wine bottle on the floor of the car. He says, 'Sir, have you been drinking? 'Just water,' says the priest. The trooper says, 'Then why do I smell wine?' The priest looks at the bottle and says, 'Good Lord! He's done it again!'
I had a very direct ancestor on my mother's side who was quite the Irish Poet. He wrote of missing his brother across the ocean in America. And of lass standing on a hillside by teh sea. Maybe I’ll write a poem today.
In the collateral damage department, the conviction of Crumbly yesterday reinforces the idea that parents are held responsible for children's actions. The problem is how loosely this may be interpreted in the future as more lawyers find a way use it to their advantage.
I may have to get out my Enya CD’s today.
What do you call an Irish gunslinger who can kill 5 men with 1 bullet? Rick O'Shea.
My grandson is in Ireland right now and we are getting pictures of Pubs. Smart lad.
I remember way back when, standing there in my knickers while a kid in the neighborhood, I think it was Tommy Boyle, taught me and my friends how bake potatoes on the open fire in the back yard. While the potatoes were baking, you took a tin can, punched it full of holes and tied a string to it. When cooked, you put a potato in it and spun it around over your head until it was cool enough to eat. It was safer than playing Mumbly Peg.
In case you are interested, in 1896 Mark Twain talked of Tom Sawyer playing Mumbly Peg. It could be hard on your toes depending upon which version you played.
The Answer:
Number one is New York followed by Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Denver, Dan Diego, Seattle and Omaha. Huh.
Happy Saint Patrick's Day, E-v-e-r-y-b–o-d-y!!
This song just makes me happy on this weekend of leprechauns and four-leaf clovers.
