Today's Tids Issue 5,487
A smiling kind of Day:
“Listening to music uses all of your brain, one of the very few activities that do such a thing”. A wonderful, cranky old guy sent that to me. He loves believing it. I do too.
I'm not liking the idea of Iran saying it will respond to Israel's bombing of The Iran Consul in Damascus.
Do you realize while sitting comfortably in your own little world there is a raging controversy going on around you -- Are Potatoes are vegetables. Of course, vegetarians and certainly vegans say my favorite vegetable is not. Our government classifies all foods into five categories -- Dairy, Fruit, Grain, Protein and vegetables. Potatoes are currently in Vegetables, officially. But the Gov now wants to reclassify the basic food of life as a Grain. Does that mean that turnips, parsnips and rutabaga will soon be grains. What a Waste of time what joke are these Red Tapers. (BTW, Potatoes are officially in the nightshade family which includes Peppers, Tomatoes, Eggplant, Tobacco and more.)
The Question:
Quick!, name the children of Phillip and Queen Elizabeth by age.

Speaking of the Women’s Final Four, the battle between Caitlin Clark and Paige Beukers could be epic. Many of you may have forgotten that as a Freshman for UConn, Beukers was considered the best in the country. Now she's back after a couple of years rehabilitating a serious leg injury. Keep your eyes open for this one on Friday Night.
I just ate a buttery scone that was like sinning. Not that I would know anything about sinning.
I should have been done with this issue long ago, but the old Microsoft guy behind the curtains was playing games with my formatting and I have no more buttons to push. So, if this looks odd in your email in-box, that’s why.
The Dow and the rest are down pretty sharply today. It's that old interest rate thing. It’s inflation that only stopped for Biden's number guys but not for the millions with their wallets in their hands.
But Apple owners could be happy again as the Stock price is at a level that makes Apple look cheap against the other Tech superstars. Also, it still pays great dividends and owners don't want to pay more capital gains taxes there.
Speaking of things that push pocketbook agita, how about the cost of the staff a of life. I remember driving though Portugal and seeing these scrumptious baked loaves of bread for sale piled up in the open air in town squares. Now they are on the artisan shelf and cost triple that of a commercial loaf, or about the cost of nice steak on sale. Remember when Wonder Bread eaters thought Pepperidge Farm bread far was for the elite only.
We haven’t heard from the Tids Shaggy Dog Funster Laureate (SDFL) in a while: “I ran out of clean socks, so I piled them on a tray, grabbed the detergent and headed to the laundromat down the street, a steep hill. As I walked down the hill, I slipped and fell. The dirty socks went flying, the detergent went flying, and there I was, sitting on a sock by the tray watching the Tide roll away.
The Answer:
Number one Child is Charles who is 75. Anne is 73 and she is followed by Andrew 64 and Edward 60. Edward may rise up out of the dark. But Anne is still very active behind the scenes.
There's a new ceremony when Harry comes back to London. It’s called, “The Changing of the Locks.”
That’s not exactly the way I wanted ot end tis.
