Meaningfulness:
There comes an election,
Which after scrutinous inspection,
I find there's no selection.
I seem to be in a rut caused by extreme befuddlement where debt is running amok, and our collective minds are running askew.
Tonight is big night, not just for women’s basketball but for all sports fans who enjoy a battle between great skilled performers – the much-Heralded Catlin Clark and the often, equally as sensational Paige Beukers. UConn versus Iowa women will be a pleasant war tonight.
Nothing is as nutty as the stock market. The markets soared to the heavens on Thursday afternoon when Fed Chief Powell said they will have rate decreases this year. And then yesterday the Minnesota Fed President, Neel Kashkari, said not a chance for a rate decline this year. And the market went to hell in the proverbial handbasket.
The Question:
In 1799, Heinrich von Kleist wrote, “Happiness cannot, like a mathematical theorem, ne proven. It must be felt to exist”. Now after decades of trying to isolate the meaning of happiness and the avenues in which to best pursue it, they have come up with five things that have been scientifically proven to make you happy. Didn’t feel a thing but I have just learned there was an earthquake in Lebanon NJ that was felt NY, Conn and Mass. Somehow how it missed RI, which is easy to miss.
The RI legislature has no clue about what it means to think big. The RI State House slogan, is “It won't work and here's why.”
The headline today says scientists have new maps showing the expanding universe. My naive reaction is, how can something endless expand. How do you expand beyond infinity?
The Answer:
There as are many answers to this Question floating around the internet as there are happiness gurus selling their wares. But this is acknowledged in its presentation before a Harvard research panel:1. Bring positive emotions into your life even when amidst negativities. 2. Dwell on and enhance your own strengths. 3.
