Naptime.

Today's Tids Issue 5,900

Wait it Out:

It's raining, steadily and hard. We haven’t had a rain like this in quite a while. The tomato farmers could have used it months ago. Timing is everything.

The good news for golf fans is that the Ryder Cup starts this week. It will be a tough match, as the Europeans always come ready to play. Scottie Scheffler is excited about it and maybe even more so because he likes the idea of Trump being there, “Inspiring the Americans” according to his latest comments. But the real factor in USA favor may be the incendiary nature of Bethpage Black Long Islanders. Based on past history, it is unlikely to be a  genteeeel event.

It only rains straight down. God Doesn’t do windows.” --Stephen right.

"Political Fatigue”I think that is my phrase for the day.

The Question:

A TV programs still going strong today began way back in1968. What do you think it is? And who were the original two stars who helped get it started?

The Headlines:

--Kristy Noem Says there were “Multiple Injuries and Deaths in Early Morning Shooting at Dallas Texas Immigration Facility; Details Emerging Say three were Shot.

--Markets Edge Higher; Dow and Nas Negative Early; Investors Like news of China Giant Alibaba Upping AI Spending.

--Trump Has Government Taking Stake in Lithium America Company Pushing Stock Higher.

--Kimmel Back; Talks Emotionally About Death of Young Man; Goes After President and His Assault on Free Speech; Thanks Conservative Supporters.

--Dem Adekita Grijalva Takes Special Election Arizona Seat Further Narrowing Repub House Margin; New Dem Looking to Be Vote that Releases All Epstein Data.

--Fed Sorting Itself Out as It Weighs Inflation Woes Against Increasing Negative Laboe Forecasts.

The irony of Trumps anti comedian action is that he gave Kimmel a ratings boost that was priceless.

Native corn is still available and still as delicious always. I don't know if it is better, but it seems to taste better when you buy it at a farm stand in the middle of a country field.

From where I'm sitting, Trump appears to be the biggest Big Government President since, who, LBJ, FDR. Tey are just doing it differently, give-away versus take-away.

Well, tonight they pick pthe AGT winner. The winner isn't just always based on talent but also on the emotions of the live audience and the reactions of judges. Odds makers also considered consistency of performance of over eth length of each season. The top choices seem to be Rapper Chris Turner, Singer Jessica Sanchez, Singer Jourdan Blue, The Lee High Choir, Light Wire (LED) dance group and Mama Duke. However, BetUs Oddsmaker has it Jordan Blue, Steve Ray Ladson, Lee High, Jessica Snachez, Chris Turner, Sirca Marea, Micah Place, Light Wire and Team Recycled. To me, it seems its between Turner, Blue and Sanchez.

Many international observers think Trump was right about “borderless” countries facing stiff ills in the future unless they get tough on newbies.

The sun never sets on the British Empire, but it rises every morning, The sky must be getting awfully crowded.  --Stephen Wright.

I believe we live in a global economy. The question is can the other big economic forces in the world can create a paradigm change without the financial power of the USA

I think I'm getting old.

There was so much news yesterday that it is hard to sort out today.

If I closed my personal borders I wouldn't have as much information to evaluate or ridicule.

I liked writing yesterday's Tids better because it was more about poetry and feelings.

It's refreshing to see some good USA conservative voices expressing concerns over the Government extortion of TV stations to get rid of critics.

Whats annoying is that we are getting more and more streaming options I don't need, and we are jn danger losing some good Public Broadcating a classical radio stations which I have enjoyed for years..

The Answer:

Love it or hate it, 60 Minute sis still going strong. The original news duo was Mike Wallace and Harry Reasoner.

I should be saying more, but my mind is battered down. Maybe I’m feeling like Europe today.
