W77ell, this past weekend kicked of the NFL season and what I noticed most was that it all seems much louder. More booms and bangs and blaring graphics. And talkers. Do we need any more experts trying to espouse the same thing differently. and most glaring, gamblers hawking bets. God help us. Other than that, it was nice to see a game or two with sound off and have the day capped with another Josh Allen masterpiece. How great was that.

 

Isn’t it great how music can bring you back to a special pleasant moment n time form childhood on.

 

Venezuela is a troubled country with lots of oil. Madura has been worse for the citizens than Chavez it seems. But the country is firmly tied to Russia and China and are a member of OPEC. So that makes dealing with a small country south of the US a little more difficult.

 

One of the most wildly known, most highly regarded modern era conductors of classical music is Gustavo Dudamel. He is a born and bred and educated Venezuelan. In addition to hos position as Conductor of the LA Symphony he has been a member of and chief conductot of Venezuela’s renown Simon Bolivar Orchestra. That’s the disgrace of geopolitics. We always forget the people.

It was Eat the Young Saturday in NCAA Football when littele universities would sacrifice life and limb of theirstudent athletes to play big Universities for big cash. And you had scores like 77-3, 66-0 and 69-3. Rediculous. There are aliot of highly skilled players in small colleges, but they don't have the size and the speed.

 

I guess I missed the essence of the importance of “Goodfellows” to filmdom.

 

Remember when the Repubs hated the Supreme Court because it was seen as usurping the law-making authority of Congress.

 

The Olympic sprinter’s records were the best of times.

 

To me, grass roots restaurants have always been better than created concepts. You know, serving the food that people like rather than food the chef wants to be known for. Give me gravy.

Whoops: A travel story inteh Sunday paper about delightful Portugal and the vibrant Lisbon had as a feature picture a funicular railway car. That was the same car that broke away from a cable and killed 16 last week. Preprinting can be hazardous to your integrity. It would be nice if they published an apology with a few thoughtful words about good people caught in an unfortunates accident.

 

Franklyn and Bash is just another formula series on Netflix. It will probaly do well because research tells them that the formula works.

 

I used to swim all the time, and I just realized that summer has passed by and I still haven’t dipped a toe. That's not right.
