I don't know what day it is.

Today's Tids Issue 6,085

Let the guessing begin:

Is it just the day,

Warm and hazy

Or only me,

being quite lazy.

Sitting and staring,

At a growing white daisy

Thinking of Tidlets sane

Or perhaps a bit crazy.

But always being aware

Of being overly phrasey.

No matter the Peace plan, the headlines reporting it will be slanted negatively. The trick is to find an unbiased analyst

I walked past a homeless guy with a sign that read, "One day, this could be you." I put my money back in my pocket, just in case he's right.

The Question:

Today marks the anniversary of the slow speed chase of OJ in the white Bronco. Who was driving the Bronco? Bonus: Five men were arrested today in 1972 for breaking into the Watergate. Name them and their two handlers.

The Headlines:

--In First Decision Warsh Holds Rates Steady in Unanimous Vote; Markets Up but Moderate as Investors Weigh Decision.

--Trump warns, “Iran Deal not Final.”; Says US Ready to Drop Bombs If Deal Doesn't get Done.

--Details of Peace Dribble Out: Open Hormuz, Earmark $300 Billion for Recinstruction of Iran; More Starting to come out.

--Macron Says, Ukraine Forces Moving Forward and Russia Backtracking

--Five Charged in White House Boxing Attack Plans

----Mixed Results for Trump Backed Candidates in Georgia; Ga Repubs Say No to Redistricting.

--Trump Kills Plan to Quickly Approve Jay Calyton as Head of Intelligence; Move would Allow Trump Pal Pulte to Become Acting Intel Chief.

The Innards of SpaceX look nothing like a $2.7 3Trillion Company. If the people of our world had as much faith, churches would be booming,

The news is really covering the World Cup well, with continuing reports on who’s winning and which stars are living up to the billing. But regardless of all the enthusiasm, I'm wondering how much of it is meaningful to the majority here.

In case you grammarians are wondering, phrasey is a word according to webster and others.

The best “Cup” story that Americans understand is that the Scottish are drinking all the beer in Boston. I wonder if Sam Admas was of Scotch heritage.

Warsh speculation is the new game on Wall Street. Will he, or won’t he? I guess we’ll have to wait several Fed meetings before we see the answer.

I like playing these new games like Connections, Strands and Quordle. But every time I venture into Sudoku I get a headache.

I used to play Beethovens melodic 6th symphony quite a bit, but I got tired of it. But now I find myself drawn back in. But the skill of the conductors can make rt break the drama of that one

European soccer fans are amazed at the size of US football stadiumsfind our gas stations enjoyably overwhelming and are delighted by the Waffle House chain. America is great again. If they came to RI, they could marvel at car washes.

Speaking of RI, a state politico is pushing hard to bring Waffle House here. Most states are pushing to urge the best and brightest to set up their high paying tech companies in their states.

I see where one of our big hospital chains, South Coast, is hiring. Maybe I could become a doctor I could do a lot with Google and a good bedside manner.

Wasn’t it Marie Antionette who said “Let them eat Waffles”? Or was that Housewives of Rhode Island.

The Answer:

Al Cowlings an OJ pal was driving the slow-moving Bronco. You have to believe Ford hates that image. Where's power? Bonus: These names used to be easy to remember: James McCord was the only one not associated with the CIA. The other four are Frank Sturgis, Eugennio Martinez, Virgillio Gonzalez and Bernard Barker. Their Handlers were E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy. We don't invite old Howard to family gatherings anymore.

Despite the lackadaisical day, I feel good.
