It’s just reality.

Today's Tids Issue 6,092

Remembering:

The problem with many people who comment or criticize the Supreme Court decisions is that they don'tt know enough about law or the Constitution, or the place of the SC in the Government hierarchy. While many SC decisions are dramatic in headlines, they are often pretty mundane in reality just reacting to and following laws that exist.

Some people who suggest I use the microphone to ask Google questions instead of typing them in, don't realize that I'm bad at public speaking

It appears we all might be paying more for tech stuff from phones to the cloud usage as the drive towards AI is requiring more cash from current operations. Wall Street needs your pocketbook.

Don't spell part backwards. It's a trap

The Question:

On this day in 1977 18,000 people gathered in the Market Square Arena. in Indianapolis. Why?

The Headlines:

--Venezuela Earthquake Deaths Mount; 593 Deaths Reported but 40-50,000 Still Missing.

--Stocks Open Lower as OpenAI IPO is Delayed; Iran Strikes Ship in Hormuz.

--King Charels First Monarch ot Release tax Info; He Pais 12.5M Pounds in 25-26

--US Soccer Moves to “Knockouts” Despite Last Night's Loss to Turkey.

Sabalanka, Rybakina, Andreeva, Swiatek and Gauff are the favorites to win the Women's Wimbledon Title. But if you read all teh stories leading up to it, you’d think Serena Williams was teh only layer in it. Hey her comeback is a nice story and it will juice up TV ratings (Execs hope). But the battels between those top five and the wannabees is what the big and small tournaments are all about But, unfortunately, we live in a star system world.

One of the reasons I have lost interest in the NBA is because of the Leagues avowed objective of creating a star system. I used to like basketball because of team work.

The Mamdani wins in NY got a lot of publicity and will be analyzed to death, but how popular is Socialism Nationally. Gallop did some polling and found that among Dems 66% were favorable to socialism while only 42% were favorable to Capitalism. (I guess some were favorable to both. In a similar 2012 study these numbers were reversed. In the same study those favorable to “Big Business” went from 58% in 2012 to 37% now. In a Fox poll favorability of Capitalism was under 50 % with  only 28% for Dems and 40% for Indies saying capitalism was working very well or somewhat well. So, where do these socialism leaning naysayers think the jobs will come from? Raising Minimum wages for low skilled work?

I love being a morning person. There is so much to see, so much to feel good about. But my bones don’t leap out of bed like they used to. So, I just keep pushing so I don't miss my favorite thing. Aches and pain has its rewards.

Isn't it Ironic that one of the job classifications that could be in jeopardy from AI are computer and software engineers and designers, some of the brightest people around.

Police have arrested the World tongue-twister Champion. I imagine he'll be given a tough sentence.

Today is National Take Your Dog to Work Day. That could indicate to bosses that employees working at home isn't such a bad idea.

I'll always remember.

Of special days I’ve had.

Giving me a smile

When things seem bad.

Did you ever walk down the street and find your mind struck by a special moment of the past and you begin smiling broadly and people passing by say, “What's wrong with that guy? He looks like a serial Killer.

The Answer:

It was Elvis Presley's last concert. In case you forgot his five greatest hits were Heartbreak Hotel, Don’t be Cruel, Jailhouse Rock, Can’t Help Fallin in Love and Suspicious Minds. What happened to Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes and All Shook Up.

Have a great weekend E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!

I guess I gotta end with an Elvis song. Maybe soem of you are old enough to remember.
