Tears and Thanks.

Today I feel my red, white and blue heart.
For all of those who did more than their part.
For all who loved them; who shed their own tears.
For everybody who did it to allay our fears.
And preserve the land where freedoms ring.
It's on this day that we all join and sing.
To hail the courage and praise the brave
To salute together; Lay a flower, upon a grave.

For it is the brave, we should never forget,
From Concord's stone walls to Fiers Courcelette,
From Iwo, Guadalcanal and Hamburger Hill.
Chosin, Baghdad, Normandy, and Bougainville.
Though bloody at Bull Run and on Omaha beach.
Our soldiers never though victory, out of their reach.

So hoist our flag; pledge to the Red, White and Blue.
The red is for blood spilled upon sea and the sands.
And White is the purity of this nation they all defend.
And blue it's color of the sky we all see up above,
Where the millions who've died receive now God's love.
And look down at the the people in America's towns,
To see that fruits of their sacrifice, readily abounds.
