Today's Tids Issue 3,298
Opening Stuff:
I am just reading much too
much about the impending “Crash”. I remember ignoring some signs during the 2000
implosion. I even worked for a Dot.Com with an idiotic stock price growth on no
dales or profit; I knew, or at least sensed that much of the business was a
house of cards built upon MBA mythical business plans containing lots of “What-ifs”.
Just before that crash I asked my financial guru to sell half of the high
fliers and he said there was no problem two weeks before we all got buried. Am I going to be stupid again, or believe that
things are different now? Are companies diverting our focus away from reality
with wristwatches?
One of those great memories
of youth is
being enveloped in a magical aroma while staring through the glass protecting
what seemed like actress of chocolate at the local candy store. In a world
today that seems out of control at times, it is comforting to know that in
little towns and big cities, there are still creative geniuses with family businesses
making unbelievably delicious chocolates and other candy treats in their
friendly stores… where young and old walk in briskly with smiles on their faces
and sweet anticipation in their hearts.
A good friend and practicing
military guy wrote to ask the question, “What if Barack Obama had been in charge during
Pearl Harbor?” Gadzooks! “it was our fault”. Let’s take time and not rush to judgment.”. And if Hill was In charge – “What difference
does it make anyhow.”
The Question:
Government
is growing. What percentage of Americans do you think work for the Fed, state
and local Governments. Which state do you think has the highest percentage of Government
employees? Lowest?

I know of a man who made
millions
inventing a machine that puts the curve in the brims of baseball hats. It seems
to me that as kids my friends and I just put the caps in the back pockets of
our tattered jeans, and with a little additional hand manipulation created our
own individualized brims. What’s so hard about that?
Let’s hope the machine guy has a new product for the
flat brims. Let’s hope it doesn’t work for long.
You may have read, either here or in your
local newspaper that the former Speaker of the house in RI admitted to some
serious bribery and other felonious charges. In response, the ever wise state
leaders are making suggestions -- like maybe they should re-institute the “Ethics”
Committee, which became dormant after the RI Supreme court said the legislature
was immune from ethics.! Now that is funny, Also. It was suggested that maybe they
should pass a law where all campaign contributions could only go into campaign
bank accounts instead of the personal bank accounts now in favor. This would probably
eliminate 80 % of the candidates, which by the way, is what we have been trying
to do around here for years.
It appears we will be seeing
Chelsea out
talking in public, but it won’t be about nefarious emails, but Hillary’s
grandchild. The Clinton are great diverters.
It’s amazing how much
different Adam
Scott looks now with his new short putter. But, don’t tell his wife.
This just in: Hillary and operatives expected
to use traditional Clinton defense -- “Rules don’t apply to us”.
They say it is easy to get your mind around
introspection.
The Answer:
15.9%
of Americans work for the Government. (Popular myth: 50% of Americans are not
working but living on Gov pensions and disability) I was surprised to learn
that with 24.2 % of the citizens working in a Gov job, Wyoming leads the way! Pennsylvania
at 12.3% has the smallest percentage of citizens in government jobs, but just
behind in second place for the least is Rhode Island at 12.5%.
It looks like Chelsea is out there making the TV Talk
show rounds for mom Hill on gender Equality. As you know, nothing just happens
within the Clinton machine (Except when they are caught), so the campaign to
gather women votes has begun. It is probably also the start of the campaign for
the black vote as there are so many working single mothers in that community
looking for higher wages.
