Ebbing Tides; Red Setting Sun:
Rhapsodic
waves pound upon the coast; in rocky coves and on sandy shores.
I stare, mesmerized by the desensitizing tempo; the world seems like a softer place.
Happier.
I
have long thought that one of the biggest threats to the US
culture and economy would be AI. Letting a machine think for you is not my idea
of a society. And it certainly is potential drag on the future of jobs, blue and
white collar. But suddenly I realize we may be exercising Artificial
Intelligence right now – in the words of AOC.
I
have heard form scientific halls that Aliens in spaceships flying
past Earth are locking the doors.
A
lot of this resurgence in the Markets has been based on
new confidence for a good US/China deal . But, if it all falls apart, be prepared
for a freefall day.

You
know you’re getting old when the Spiderman comic strip has
come and gone. No more Spidey?
The
worst thing ever devised for governing is the “General
Fund”.
The
name of the new movie Character in it is Shazam. As I remember quite clearly (It as one
of my favorites), It was “Shazam” that Billy Batton uttered when he needed to turn
into Captain Marvel. People today think they know what went on in the 40’s and 50’s.
But, the more I read, the more I realize they haven’t a clue.
One
of the great reasons for going to the doctor is catching up on
National Geographic. Although catching up isn’t what it used to be.
People
of newer generations love to find faults about the 50’s.
They just don’t want to believe that anything they haven’t been a part of could
be that great. Certainly, the 70’s culture were trying to basically “Burn the books”
about the glorious 50’s. To aid the oppressed new visionaries of today, many current
historians cherry pick 50’s occurrences to create a foundation for today’s new
thinking. But, the fact remains, the daily unobtrusive routine was better, the
simplicity of the government and its ability to be somewhat harmonious was better,
and the people, like most people of today loved their fellow man and went out
of their way to help those in need along. They just didn’t have Social networks
to talk about it. So, maybe silence is golden after all.
AOC
gives us 12 years before ultimate obliteration. But, a
serious scientists’ study the effects of other planets and their suns way
beyond our place in the vastness, says in about 5-6 billion years we could be obliterated
from the universe. The theory based on real dwarf star observations says that sun
is always expanding and will expand in that time frame to where the earth resides
now, knocking off Mercury and Venus along the way. Making Mars the first planet
in our current solar system. So, we got a little time before it gets really,
really nasty.
Note:
There are new efforts to bring back Spiderman as a daily and Sunday comics, but
they say it will be very different.
Oh,
there is new Dem candidate who promises us that the Earth has 13 more years to exist!
“Vote for me,” he says, “I can give you an extra year.”
The
Answer:
Everybody has their favorite Stephen King Book . I always
liked him best for the wa he developed characters. Even I didn’t like a particular
book, I could enjoy getting to know a new person. “It” is ranked number 1 by this
particular research audience. Next in order are “the Stand”, “The Shining”, “Pet
Cemetery”, “Misery”, “Salem’s Lot”, “The Green Mile”, “Carrie”, “Needful Things”
and “Christine”. I liked The Dead Zone #11, Cujo #13, Firestarter #17 and
Thinner #22. If the weekend’s bad. Seek out Stephen.
Enjoy
a nonconfrontational week end, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
