Dressing up:
What
do you think the Dems would have said if Barr asked to wait
until after Holy Week and the beginning of Passover to deliver the report? I
think it would have been the right thing to do. Now the media will surely lose track if why Easter
Sunday and Passover is. The love of a special day will be devoured by inane bickering.
What
ever happened to Easter Bonnets, you know – with all the
frills upon it. With daisies and daffodils, and dresses to match, in colors of lavender
and rose and light blue, like Easter eggs in a row. With men in hats, and little
girls pridefully aglow, and boys struggling with gayly striped ties. And all
around among everybody, smiles on faces, and happiness in handshakes and hugs.
Media
today spends more energy trying to find positions for disputing
than facts.
There’s
no truth to the rumor that the Easter rabbit lives in
Albunny NY. There may be some truth to the rumor that the Tidster is hopping
into a straight jacket.

It’s
easy to believe the new poll that 42% of college grads
say that the College education wasn’t worth the debt they face. The Tids has
been a long-time promoter of post HS vocational opportunities over going to
college for college sake, sometimes just to appease parents. Multi thousands in
debt is a high price to pay for wall to wall parties.

Teen Corner:
“I think the easiest thing to compare life to is a
library. The Earth is a huge library. With all the questions and all the
answers. It’s people, well they are the books. And every person has their own
story. From birth to death, each of the 7 billion people act as a walking,
living novel, carrying out scenario after scenario, all contrasting in size and
depth and meaning. Some of the stories are connected, as many books are. Some
have no correlation. People live lives others could not even imagine. As I
write this right now, and as you read this right now, someone is having a baby,
and someone else’s parent has just died. The world is a tiny speck in the
infinite place we call space, but at the same time it is colossal. It is the universe’s
most magnificent library. A learning place.” Submitted by SR
If
you are looking for a job, Forbes says that the five best places
to work are Trader Joe’s, Southwest Airlines, Lilly, Costco and Garmin.
Rats!
The issuing of “The Report” is messing with my viewing of The Price is Right.
Bummer.
If
there had never been a succession of socialist dictators, I would
never have learned how to spell Venezuela. So, that’s a good thing.
One
of the keys to a good life is to be aware of when there is traffic
and when there isn’t.
The
King of the Jews was a mockery of the son of God. Most often
when one is mocked it is done so by those in fear of the power they see.
I’m
not one of them, but could have been if I felt like paying
for HBO. Them refers to the millions who will be rapt before TV’s and streaming
machines as Game of Thrones Begins its final season. Tweeting will be rampant
and heated as one person’s opinion conflicts with another, or another seeks reinforcement
of feelings. But hopefully all in good, intriguing fun. Because, after all, they
all love the same thing.
The
moody Easter Bunny was having a bad hare day.
The
Answer:
#1 hasn’t been around that long, but I can agree on Reece’s
Peanut Butter Eggs. Next is an older favorite -- Cadbury Cream Eggs (One of my
faves) and this is followed by Cadbury mini eggs, Chocolate Lindt Gold Bunny,
Cadbury Caramel Egg, Easter Pastel M&M’s, Hershey’s Solid Milk Chocolate
Eggs, Snickers Egg, Jelly Beans and Whopper’s Robin Eggs. Bunny “Peeps” are # 15, but real chick Peeps
are nowhere. I remember best a solid giant chocolate rabbit my Grandmother always
bought at the local chocolate shop.
I
had a nice note from an old friend this morn. And by old, I
mean really old, knowing him since I was three or four. His note evoked memories
of those times and this weekend. How he and I and another, how we three in our
quiet neighborhood all dressed up by eager moms went to our churches, Baptist, Congregational
and Catholic. And after Easter services were done, we got back together to
trade and eat candy. And, we probably messed up our Easter outfits.
