Today's Tids Issue 4,948
As the last spark fizzled:
A cable repairman was on our street today and he asked me what time it was. I told him, between 8am and 1pm.
Somedays it’s just darn tough to get the Tids started.
From what I have been reading on BBC News, it doesn’t look like the USA did a stellar job of turning over Bagram Airbase to the Afghan Military. In fact, the Chief of Afghan ops says that the US basically snuck out during the dark of night without telling the Afghans they were leaving. This urgency to meet a politically expedient requirement is happening more and more on both sides is not good for sound decision making. It will also tend inhibit possibilities for compromise on foreign and domestic issues. Like where the government maybe works for the people instead of arbitrary political strategy objectives. Meeting the demands of party first is just plain bad for America. It’s always been there in some manner, but now it is just unbending. The Afghan move could haunt this admin seriously, that is if the population cared, or even understood what was happening.
It is becoming real obvious around here that people are just going places to be going to places. There is this cultural undercurrent that is implying it isn’t just Ok to stay at home and be happy, when you could be spending money you don’t have to make you think you are being happy .

I think it is great for the NBA that we have two relatively unknown teams playing for the 2021 Championship. – Arizona ad Milwaukee. What I found most interesting is that these two teams operate beneath the star power mystique now popular as big superstars form their own teams. Bothof these contenders play well together as teams. That was best illustrated when the Bucks MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo went down and all of the subordinating players found a way to win it all, without the so-called superstar.

That’s where the money will go. And I expect there will be a lot of changes on this list in the next year.
A 15-year-old boy was killed about a week ago after Tesla on autopilot was unable to make conditions adjustment plowed into a car swerving to avoid a truck. Sources say that Telsa on Auto pilot can’t easily adjust to fast changing surprising situations. I don’t care what they say today, I just don’t want to be on the road with a lot of auto driving cars. Some people fear a vaccination. Others fear other techno inventions.
Tesla had better be able to adjust to Lucid Motors which is coming on strong and playing Tesla’s EV car game very well. Apparently, Lucid’s “Air Dream” Luxury EV blows all competition out of the water with its 500-Plus mile range. By 2022, it is expected, Lucid will be on everybody’s mind so say the EV watchers. Lucid is loaded with talent.
