Today's Tids Issue 4,960
Too much Pressure:
Maybe all of those UFO’s we have been seeing over the years are just billionaires from other galaxies.
We have just got to stop condemning police first, and giving thugs and criminals excuses. It’s pendulum swing back time.
Maybe being the GOAT isn’t what it is cracked up to be. Today two of the super stars in women’s athletic is stepped aside in the Olympics earliest reports out of Tokyo suggest the cause was mental stress. Simone Biles is remarkable, but from what I have seen, there have been some out of character chinks. Also exceptional is the Japan tennis player Naomi Osaka. Osaka has demonstrated some pressure problems in several instances during the past few months, And Biles just recently suggested that being on top is not easy. I can believe it. These kids turned athletic superstars have been directed towards one dimensional focus from an early age. Burnout happens when the fun is taken out of competitive sprots. I have seen pressuring parents and it isn’t pretty ad frankly often doesn’t even make sense to me. Kids fall by the wayside all of the time, so it isn’t surprising that even those at the very top, the best in the world, can feel a pressure that no average human could ever understand.
That’s my excuse for bad golf and I’m sticking to it.
The Question:

It’s generally pretty easy to spot Dem programmed talking points. the latest is, “Unvaccinated Pandemic”.
A local clam shack, Flo’s, is making national news after it sopped selling its namesake clams due to high product prices. The owner of this 80 year old seafood favorite says he just isn’t in good conscience going to pass along the cost to customer (I have been out various restaurants recently, and have been aghast at Clam prices.) This piece of news has a broader significance because restaurants are having a tough enough time getting roaring again due to the lack of enough employees, product shipments that are delayed or non-existent and increasing cost of business operations. And they don’t need to price themselves beyond the comfort of consumers budgets. See yesterday’s Tids on failing popular restaurants.
A doctor tells me she is seeing higher blood pressure readings as America comes out of Covid hibernation and returns to high salt restaurant diets. Very interesting.
Things You Don’t Want In Your Obit, Department:
I watched this guy Patrick Pearce give wrong answer after wrong answer, and he wound up with the lowest score in Jeopardy history – Minus $7,500. Was he gaming the show?
One of my fervent pleas is that Trump doesn’t ruin Repub 2022 Congressional chances like he did in Georgia.
The Prez is urging everybody to get vaccines except the unlawful immigrants streaming into the USA
Here’s one thing that continues to nag me. How will Trillions of Dollars for climate change stop forest fires and floods. Especially if a big part of the problem is natural cyclical evolution.
Just because people currently on the planet think they are smarter than cavemen, that doesn’t mean that Nature has lost its innate capability to act independently.
It appears to me that the White House has successfully implemented a head in the sand policy for the massive boarder problem.
The Answer:
According to IMDb, Lear’s best shows from greatest and down are Good Times, All in the Family, The Jefferson’s, Maude and Sanford and Son, One Day at a Time, Mary Hartmand - Mary Hartman (His first “Out if the Box” Show) and MH-MH spinoff Fernwood 2 Night (Redone as America 2 Night). He did change things. I was not a huge fan.
I think that Covid for many was good experience that reminded everybody that taking care of each other, having somebody love and to love you back, is far more important than listening to politicians.
