So you can imagine what today’s thirty something’s think of the good old days in the seventies. I think this simple thought offers a pretty good perspective about understanding generational opinions. And their grand kids will be looking back in the same way in 2074. If there is a 2074.

Olivia Newton-John was a fun actress/singer and is certainly well remembered for Grease. She also died yesterday, and the national nightly news was all over her passing with nary a mention of the great David. But that’s the way it is the era of the 2 thousands.

We tried to start two new streaming series last night, one on Prime – The Lake and another on Netflix, Uncoupled. We turned off the Prime program after five minutes and gave up on Netflix after staying a little longer to see if there actually was a plot. We have a long list of “Continue Watching” shows we will never revisit. And some were hailed show of the year. 

 

Some of the most diehard, long time Red Sox fans I know are saying, I don’t get it anymore. And are ready to walk away now after nearly 80 years of despair, elation, forgiveness, and reverence. It is felt that today’s Statguy Management would have traded away Ted Williams and Yaz.
