Today's Tids Issue 5,255
Jawing:
A piece of music is playing
It feels like the green of Irish sod.
It feels like glistening eyes
And happy smokes.
Of old guys in pubs
And lovers upon rocky crags
Highs above the sea.
It ls like a place,
Like a beautiful and quiet,
Feeling, touching place,
Where we’d all like to be.
I tend to drift into poems when the stock market sucks.
Pretty soon, I expect, we are going to be drowning in news reports about the high cost of heating oil for the winter. Three weeks before the electon President Biden will announce free heating all for all.
A friend wrote to tell me he doesn’t exercise on the days he puts on a fitted sheet.

It has become one of the great new money-making schemes in the state, But, there are no cameras in many parks and other public facilities to prevent criminals from breaking into cars and mugging picnic goers.
Well, I once heard a famous concert violinist saying, “This is music sent by God.” And I can’t remember if she was talking about Brahams or Bruch concertos. That's the kind of stuff I lose sleep over these days.
From a reader: “The biggest joke on mankind is that computers have started asking humans to prove they aren’t robots.”
I drift into poems when the NE Patriots look of awful. They looked really bad against the LV raiders.
When you look at some of these dreadful new TV commercials you have to wonder what the rejected commercials were about.
The NFL is back. The prize rookie of the Buffalo Bills has been dismissed because of alleged gang rape charges that occurred while in college. And down in DC, the prize rookie of the Washington Commander was shot twice last night.
Last night I watched a local news cast that showed white clouds in the Atlantic northwest of Africa and several other areas between Africa and the Caribbean. The Weather guy said this may be our first look at tropical storm activity. Then the National news came on and these same puffy cloud areas were transformed into big blotches of red, yellow, maroon and pink, and it looked a little like the end of the world as we know it. It is just another example of how news can manipulate the minds of average citizens.
Ken Schreiber writes a great weekly report on college football.
The TidsPickers are warming up. Just in case you are wondering about surviving the coming season.
