The Reawakening.

Today's Tids Issue 5,337

No excuses:

If you want to, there is always a way to find a little extra time to something special.

A growing American problem could soon be the las]ck of farmers. You know, like those people who produce food. It appears the younger generation isn't interested even as new smart technology makes tilling the soil far more efficient and productive, and perhaps more intriguing. Oh... except for one segment... young peeps are very interested in marijuana farms. I can get high without rhubarb pie.

One thing I really believe in is that there is life similar to us in the vast, perhaps endless universe. Does that make me a kook or a rational person who can't see any reason why there can’t be another planet with a similar climate and environment for human and animal life.

The Question:

Who are the all-time winningest men's college basketball coaches? Womens?

Harry came to the USA, the land of opportunity, to make it on his own and he is becoming financially comfortable by selling out his family. Creep.

The weirder the typos, the more outrageous are the autocorrect solutions.

After a rash of neighborhood burglaries, he got alarmed.

Some people are taking a deep breath and saying, ok, ok, I failed. I’m starting my NY resolutions this week.

It seems that every day I find something new that has been priced out of sight. It is not a happy progression. The left may not like the stubborn right sided 20 in Congress, but if they can reverse inflation, the country will be far better for all with just the one improvement.

Today is Poet-Mortem Day in New England. We are wondering what the future looks like now. Some are wondering if the positive aspects of yesterday’s last game is an indicator of better things for next year. for the next year. Personally, I feel this 8-9 team is a long way from looking like a 13-4 team. BTW, Belichick just said he is coming back, and that he made some mistakes. He also didn’t exactly confer sainthood on his QB.

Here's a funny little story that may be indicative of current cultural norms. A young woman had her boyfriend over to her parents' house. He slept on the couch. In the morning she came down, got out her bowl and ingredients and started making waffle batter. He ambled into the kitchen shortly and asked what she was doing. She told him she was making waffles. This quite intelligent man was stunned, looking at her quizzingly, “Waffles?” A revelation – he had never seen a waffle that didn’t come frozen in a box .

Ah, for the good old days when people had time, or at least made the time for special little things.

How to make money in America, Department:

“Prince Harry Bombshell Interview Sends Social Media into Absolute Frenzy.” That headline on the web this morning, is a typical type of headline these days in entertainment first America. You can always send social media into a frenzy, and people wanting to make money from heightened gossip mongering, know it

The Answer:

Number one with 1,202 wins is Mike Krzyzewski. He is followed by Jim Boeheim, Jim Calhoun, Roy Williams, Bob Knight, Dean Smith, Adolph Rupp, Jim Phelan and Cliff Ellis at #10. The next ten are Rollie Massimino, Eddie Sutton, Rick Byrd, Lefty Driesell, Luke Olsen, Lou Henson, John Calipari, Bill Self, Ed Ddidle and Henry Iba. The great John Wooden is #62. The much-publicized Rick Petino is 36. Dr. Phogg Allen of Jawhawk fame is number 24. Allen is considered the “Father of Basketball Coaching” and he followed another Kansas coach, the man who invented basketball, Dr. John Naismith. The top ten women caches are Tara VanderVeer, Pat Summit, Gene Auriemma, Barbara Stevens, Vivian Stringer, Sylvia Hatchell, Muffett McGraw, Jim Foster, Jody Conradt and Robin Selvig. VanderVeer at 1,099 is one win ahead of Pat Summit and 6 ahead of Auriemma who is still coaching.

Well now it is not the day after Christmas or New Year, but just a day after a Sunday and the first workday Monday of the new year.

Good luck.
