Beyond me at times.

Today's Tids Issue 5,616

Just wait:

Well, waddaya know.

Halfway through September

People thinking of snow.

Looking to travel,

To follow the sun.

But before you depart.

Think of one thing

True warmth, always...

Comes from the heart.

Is eating coffee grounds like getting your fiber in the morning?

It's really, really hard to say in almost any way that abortion is a good thing. Yet is has become basically a political football that has divided normally reasoned people, And there are a lot of kids who will never have a chance to play the game.

Apparently, you can't use "beef stew" as a password. It's not stroganoff. (A good Monday start from our reliable TPL.)

The Question:

I think everybody know that Rossini's William Tell Overture is the music most often associated with the old Lone Ranger Radio program, But the music of two other classical composers was used regularly to heighten the story lines. Name the Composers and the compositions.

The Headlines:

--Dow up Strong, Nasdaq Down Significantly; Awaiting Fed Action.

--Ukraine Activist Ryan Routh Suspect Trump Assassination Attempt.

--Evacuations Prevalent as Floods Batter Central Europe.

There’s no truth to the rumor that the relatives of Red Grange and John Thorpe are suing the NCAA to collect money from an NIL that wasn't available at the time. But... don’t be surprised...

Tomorrow, I think I'll talk about Chaos.

Of all the great works of Beethoven, one never given proper credit among all of his most majestic music is the “Credo” from his Missa Solemnis, which may be the most moving of all.

The way I see the markets this week is that they have a chance of doing nothing or crashing. It's about the rate increase already priced in versus an interest rate less than that one already priced in. At least, that is what logic would tell you, but whoever said the Stock Market was logical.

Rational People are loving the Emmy to Jean Smart for her work in a Comedy that is “Actually Funny.?

Not a dirty word, Départment:

“Big Pharma” keeps me and my family living, as well as billions of people around the world. But pols know they will always get votes by picking on the “Bigs”. THeir dries leave me cold.

People always open up to surgeons.

Among the financial reports this morning is a Call by Congressional democrats for a Fed rate decrease of 75 basis points. Of course, they are – they want the illusion of a robust economy ahead of the election. Duh political news of the week. Politics and realistic capitalism don’t mix.

Irony, Department:

Miami QB Tua Tagavailoa is out indefinitely with his third concussion in a year or two. He got it by lowering his head and plowing into a defender instead of s taking the QB safety slide. The defender plowed into was Damar Hamlin, the Buffalo Player just coming back from an even more serious on-field medical procedure.  -- being brought back to life after suffering cardiac arrest.  Ooooo-weee-Ooooo

Historians are acknowledging that current president as “Union Joe”, for being the strongest Union supporter since FDR. The report card analyst lists many ways he had gone to bat for the unions of America which had appeared beleaguered for decades. But considering all of the news of union elections and moves by employees in places like Starbuck and Amazon to vote in a union, despite all the apparent movement, union membership continues to fall, now to 10%.

The Answer:

The two pieces used frequently during the Lone Ranger program other than Rossini were Frans Liszt's Les Preludes and Felix Mendelsohn's Hebrides Overture AKA Fingles Cave.

So. here's a little rousing finale to the Tids, which also got The Lone Ranger and Tonto going, when Kemosabe needed a kick in the butt.

HiHoSilver.
Who was that masked Tidster>
