Well, it's the last day of June. How fast was this month. Time just seems to disappear lately, and I know I have so little left. It must be the naps. It certainly isn’t the intensity of my day.
Went shopping for cherries and a microphone stand. Bought a Bing. Bought a boom. (TPL)
I played Dvorak’s New World Symphony, and I couldn't stop humming the opening theme all Sunday morning.

Government witch hunts have always been bad for this country. And often misguided. Ask Just ask Hester Prynne.
Oboe concerti are good for oboists, but not my cup of afternoon tea.
JFK was on the cover of People mag this week. It was about new info on one of his affairs. Isn't that sad, dead 62 years and his legacy is tabloid gossip. People is probably looking forward to continuing fulfilling national voyeuristic tendencies with tales of Clinton’s presidential romantic proclivities over accomplishments in the toughest job on earth. No wonder voters astound us at times with uniformed choices.
“...one nation under God, indivisible...” Indivisible”? Huh?
Are the extremes so far apart that we as a great nation will never get past the divide? How do we become indivisible again? Or do we just rewrite the Pledge of Allegiance. Yeah that's American way, rewrite it all.

Speaking of big business college sports, i just read that the storied PAC 12 just added Texas Tech after losing most of the prestigious, legendary members. The rest of that conference that used to be USC, UCLA, Stanford and more is TT, Wash State, Oreg St, Fresno State, Colorado State Bosie State, San Diego State, Utah State and for Basketball only, Gonzaga. Those that left are in one of the big Mega football driven conferences.
Remember one thing, big mega conferences have bottom dwellers too. Nothing has improved. The only thing that has changed ist hat ADs have bigger budgets ave to manage nomadic players..
The Answer:
As far back as I can remember I was a big fan of George Washington. Maybe it was the cherry tree thing. But whatever it was, all of I have learned about him since has not swayed me a minutia. In the quote he was speaking of political parties which he called “Baneful”. Think about the word indivisible and think about how much closer we would be to that if parties didn't rely on division to keep them relevant.
Regardless of all the assurances and the hyperbole, I have no idea where this will all end. Things just don't feel right. So I'll just go my own way. I know I'll find what I need to find.
Here’s and old Scottish folk song. This is Burl Ives but it has been a favorite of Julie Andress, Judy Collins and many more. There are a lot of songs about I don't know where I'm going, I don’t know where I've been. I think I’ll write a song, I know I've been somewhere.
