Today's Tids Issue 5,838
High note:
I woke up this morning feeling my heart in the hills of Ireland. Maybe that happens from time to time when you have a bit of the old sod within you. Maybe we all never lose what we were. Where we came from. I’ve never been to Ireland though I have traveled in England and France and beyond. Maybe that’s good. Maybe the hills are greener in my mind and the smiles in pubs are more cheerful and a happier as only a mind can imagine it. And I'll aways awake in the morning to the best a mind can see. Maybe that why I feel a bit of an Irish tune in my heart this morning.
Meanwhile back on earth, humans are being humans, and for the most part it is good.
An item of global interest among China watchers is the silence of Xi. Some wonder if there is a soft coup going on there. Yet, polls there seem to indicate that his popularity is very strong, as ever. However, the thought is that there may be an illness factor which will have him stepping down from one of his three main duties. While popularity is one thing, continuity is another and any reduction in his presence could have others clamoring to set wheels in motion for a new direction.
I hate cliches like the plague.
The Question:

There are people in the country who make a good living over analyzing everything.
Today is the last session for the Supreme Court before Summer shutdown. The first Bg decision looks like a win for Trump in the one about powers of lower court judges. There will be a few more before sundown including one on LBGT books in schools and a Dem district jerrymandering case. Overall, I think the court has looked pretty reasonable in most decision even though the lean conservative. The best thing for America is for the top Court to be thoughtful.
Ed has no girlfriends because Sheeran away.
The best way to solve a puzzle of any kind is just walking away from it for a while. It's amazing what you see so clearly when you return.
I had a couple of good ideas for my garden this morning. I might as well go back to bed now.
We live in a society where one side will never give credit to the other side. Which basicaly is just a dumb way exist.
Larry Elison spent $100 Million they say to fix up a house he bought in Newport RI. Labron James has a $49 Million Dollar home. These are extremes, but even median prices of homes in a broad cross section of communities are far above what a person with dreams of owning their own home can afford. As one person told me lately, I can sell my hoem for $1 million, but where to I move to.
What’s a forklift? Food, generally.
I think the Iran bombing is reminding a lot of countries around the world that he is serious about his trade programs too.
Personally, I'd rather be a poet and soften the rough edges of the world.
The Answer:
Yeah, everybody's talking about Jaw’s fiftieth. But what was the best ten years later? Back to the Futire reigned as the big money maker. The next most popular were Beverly Hills Cop, Rambo: First Blood Part II, Rocky IV, Cocoon, Witness, The Goonies, Police Academy 2: The First Assignment, Fletch and #10 – A View to Kill. Fletch and Witness were two of my favorites.
Have a great Weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
This scene from Witness reminds me that people working together is a good idea.
