Gold fools:
Today is National Hagfish Day! Who knew. Koreans consider hagfish a delicacy, so why is it a National day in America. But I wouldn’t want to be in the same building with it. So, if my kids take me to lunch today for “Nations Take Your Parents to Lunch Day”. I'm not ordering Hagfish. I hope Koreans won’t be insulted.
I have a friend who wants to go to Ikea, hide in a wardrobe and when somebody comes along and opens it, jump out and say, “ Welcome to Narnia!” Some people have a lot of smiles in their mischievous heart.
Remember when kings would don their finest armor, jump upon their mighty steed and lead their troops into the bloodiest battles. Now they watch battles unfold in the comfort of cozy boardrooms as drones send videos of brave soldiers and sailors and pilots fighting vicious enemies. And then they all rise and cheer patting each other on their backs to gloat in their planning. Something bother s me about that.
The Question:
Today in1777 marked one of the surely most humongous events in the history of the USA. What wa sit?

Just so you know, in the Tids “Answer” yesterday the number two most favorite national monument was the National Mall. Personally, I was aghast that the Hollywood sign should be anywhere close to the top and certainly not above the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument. But a smarter than average reader reminded me that Lincoln, Washington and multiple war memorials are in the National Mall. I still think Lincoln should stand alone.
It bothers me that people would sell special sentimental jewelry to take advantage of a higher gold price.
Today is also National Rural Woman Day. I’d lie a new quilt, please.
One of the great social network scams is to think that Presidents of major Corporations and political personalities like Obama really miss having me on their LinkedIn list. While on that, I signed up for What's App to logistically reach one specific Contact and now I'm getting happy notes form probably a lot of fictitious people.
Venezuelan fishermen are getting very nervous about going out to sea.
Do romantic old fools have a place on this earth?
There are a few more college football games tis week that offer interest. Probably number one game is #9 Georgia surprisingly favored to beat #5 Ole Miss. Some others are Alabama-Tennessee, Vanderbilt-LSU and the longtime rivalry, ND-USC. There are several Big Ten games that are promising especially Washington Michigan. The curiosity game of the week is North Carolina against Cal, mainly to see if there is any life left in the Belichick coaching experiment.
A lot of thought seems to go into the creation of Liberty Mutual commercials ,but I have no idea about what they mean.
From what I read this morning from many sources, the Ukraine, Russia, Trump, Putin, Zelenski saga is more confusing than ever. And good people continue to dieand suffer.
Is used to like to make up stuff that was sarcastic and hopefully humorous, but in today’s world people would run with it as the truth if it suited their dialogue.
The Answer:
Up in Saratoga New York British Genral John Burgoyne surrendered 5,000 British troops to American Major General Horatio Gates. It was the first major Victory for our Colonial Forces.
