Today's Tids Issue 5,912
Closing eyes:
It looks like the ground will be chilled enough this weekend for effective daffodil bulb planting. It will help keep spring alive in my mind all through the winter.
Dolly Parton said social media made her appear sicker than she was. Surprise -- Social Media creates unnecessary hysteria. And much worse.
On a similar note, Princess Kate in her article co-written with Harvard doctor says we have become the most connected society and the most isolated at the same time. She emphasized that the family unit is essential in society, yet it is being obscured by increasingly reaching out instead of in. Children need undivided attention she says. Not as an afterthought between connections.
“Doctor,” says the nurse, “There's a patient on the phone who says he is invisible,” Doc: “Tell him I can't see him now.”
The Question:
I dare you to name the top 10 of what Rolling Stone has just anointed as the very best songs of the 21st Century so far.

I think tomorrow I'll make the Tids one big poem about nothing. Nothing amidst the cacophony makes sense to me.
The TidsPickers were dreadful last week, though many a national expert also floundered in a wave of upsets. I should whisper that we were 5 –9 bringing us to 46.5-31.5 (59.6%) Oops! Undaunted we move one. Tonight's game features two teams that don't like each other, The Eagles and Giants, The Eagles will be mad as hell and the Giants will be too. But the Giants don't have the horses. Eagles. The Jets are the only winless team and are probably hoping ot surprise and overconfident Denver team. But Peyton of Denver is too good a coach to let them sneak in. Broncs. The Ram- Ravens should have been a supremo battle of the elite but the Ravesn have looked lousy lately, and Jackson is still gone. Though LA has also been disappointing, Ill go with them, Carolina surprises and disappoints, The Cowboys can be a mystery too, but Ill take them. Ina “Gulp” game I’ll take a solid Indy over a Arizoan, a team that shoulda bn. Jax is playing well. Seattle has been striving on the back of the rehabbed Darnold. I'll give the Jags the home field edge. Last week I said I’d give the chargers one more chance and they blew it. But this week they are at Miami and will give them one more chance.
Moving on, teh Steelers versus the Browns is a great rivalry game. The Cleveland QB is green and the Pittsburgh guy is old. But skilled. The Browns D is tough, but so is the Steelers. I'll go Steelers. Oh man, how to do you pick a winner in a game between Tenn and Vegas. My gut says the time is ripe for LV be but they have not showed ne enough to beat even the Titans. Green Bay should handle a depleted Bengals and Buffalo will be surging back against the Falcons. I also have to pick Washington against the Bears. But it will be a close one. One game of the week on paper is Detroit-KC. I just think the Lions are playing better now. One that is really tough to call is resourceful Baker Mayfield and the Bucs against a rejuvenated Max Jones and the Niners. I'll take Tampa Bay because of Baker. That leaves us with New England against New Orleans. The Pats are actually playing quite well. NO surprised the Gants last week. Of course, my heart is in this one, and I 'm going with that pump. NE “D” wins it.
Guess what big banks are most worried about --- the softening of regualations that could allow Crypto “Banks” to emerge as competitors. That’s not the type of regulation easing they expected after the elections.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away if you aim it properly.
One of the little secrets underlying US prosperity is that health care companies are declaring bankruptcies at an increasingly alarming rate. Nursing homes and physician groups seem to have been hit hardest. This is at a time when the boomers will be looking for health support facilities at rate not yet seen in America, But the bigger problem is -- can anybody or the system afford the cost necessary to keep them solvent.
Doctor, I think I swallowed a pillow. I feen a little down in the mouth.
You may have read that Jamie Diamon is worried. He was in England opening a gigantic JP Morgan Banking facility and remarked without restraint that he is not comfortable with the US economy and sees Stock Market decline 6 to 18 months, He says he doesn’t like the Remilitarization off the World, and effects of Geopolitical Environment and Fiscal spending. “Uncertainty is higher in most people's minds than what I would call normal.” Oddly the AI bubble which concerns others doesn't bother him. He says AI will pay off even though there will be a lot of money lost. He made one curious remark, “I think we should be stockpiling bullets and Bombs which reflects on his deep concerns about global security. A few months ago at his company shareholder meeting he said, “The US would run out of missiles in 7 days of a South China Sa War. Unsettling. But people listen to Jamie Dimon.
