Reevaluations.

Today's Tids Issue 5,916

Opinions:

A new report shows that 52% of college grads are in jobs that don’t require a degree, But... where would they learn to party.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. Life is about learning to dance in the rain.

We are in this new period of reevaluating the traditions of the past. So don't be surprised about anythingColleges do still train the minds, how to think philosophically, practically and strategically.  So, an upgrading of the mindset is a good thing. Maybe Colleges should offer practical hands-on career opportunities too,,, form plumbing and electrician to digital jobs too. And of course, how to live with AI and make it work for you.

There is this No Kings thing being organized around the country and it is set to be huge, they say, on Saturday. The official White House response I read was, “Who Cares.” That says something, like don't bother me with your grievance's.

Though change is inevitable, it should never include chipping away at the foundation.

Very funny Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

The Question:

What are considered the top five USA monuments?

The Headlines:

--Some on both sides are Saying no End in Sight for Shutdown.

--Trump Tells Reporter that We are in Trade War with China Now; Wall Street Concerned but Rebound as TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) Reports Steller Earnings. --Trump and Zelensky to Meet; Hope it is first step to Peace.

--Trump Holds Lavish Thank You Dinner for Super Wealthy Supporters Who Contributed to $250M Ballroom Now under Construction.

Red meat isn’t bad for you. Fuzzy green meat is bad for you.

It was just revealed that the Super Successful people like Jeff Bezos don't adhere to the concept of a Work/Life balance. For them non-stop work is the religion. Now I know why I am where I am, and why Jeff paid his ex-wife McKensie $38 Billion!

Not so successful lately are the mighty TidsPickers. In reality, the recent spate of odd outcomes in the NFL seems due to a higher than usual injury rate. But we will pick again. Last week looked decent until Monday night. We were 8-7 bringing us to 54.5-38.5 (58.6%) Yikes It’s time for a comeback, but there are a lot of mystery games this week too. Aaarrrrrrgh! Ok, I might start well tonight with Pitt defeating a really banged up Cincy. Philly is not going to let down against Minnesota. And KC has looked like the KC we expected and should take Las Vegas. The Jags have been in evrry game and will play LA Rams Tough. But LA should win it even with new super receiver Puka Nacua on injury list. The Saints aren't as bad as their record and the Bears may not be as good as their record. Tough pick here but I’ll go NO. Miami seems demoralized, and Cleveland has some players. I go Browns.

I usually save my Beloved Pats for the grand Tidspickin’ finale, but I'll go early and take them versus the Titans. Now, the Jets have to win some day, right. and the Panther have been up and down. I say Carolina keeps the Jets winless. I liked the way the Giants played last week, and I think they will take a team I root for, Denver. Indy will not let down against the Chargers. And San Fran is just too good for the Falcons, And Kittle may return to help Mac Jones. Washington against Dallas is always a tough pick and this year it is tougher. I like them over Dallas, but my gut says I’m wrong. Ok I'll take the Cowboys. The Pack will take the Cardinals, a team that is in trouble. Seattle is just getting better, and they should put down a dangerous Houston. The big game of the week is Detroit and Tampa Bay. Everybody, including me is loving Baker. But I like The Lions to sneak though. Jeff Goff isn't so bad either.

You know you are going to have a bad day when “Jumble” is hard.

If I was ever invited to a big luxurious White House Dinner I would probably ask to order off the menu.

Isn't it ironic that the Taiwan giant chipmaker’s good earnings soften Wall Street's concerns over a Trump acknowledged trade war with Chinna, a China which it seems would love to devour Taiwan.

I see where Walmart as made a big deal with Chat GPT. Yes it it will facilitate online ordering to the point where "You will never have to leave your digital device.”, Yeah great, a nation buried in a screen.

The game of life is played through the heart.

I think a lot of US eyeballs will  be looking toward New York City hoping to catch a glimpse of the big debate between the surprisingly strong socialist candidate Mamdani and besmirched ex-Gov Cuomo. Just for Entertainment reason,of course.

If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.

The Answer:

Number One according to the list I found, is the Statue of Liberty. The rest are National Mall, Hollywood Sign (Huh!), Route 66 Oklahoma (Huh!), Golden Gate Brideg, Gateway Arch (SL), Space Needle, Cloud Gate in Chicago, Niagara Falls, Mount Rushmore and Monumnet Valley in Utah. Hey, like what about the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument. The Liberty Beel and Convention Hall in Philly, Paul Revere's House in Boston. There are dozens of natural wonders in the desert and mountainous West and they are called monuments. I guess one person's monument is another person's boring vacation. But I will take the awesome Lincoln Memorial over the Hollywood sign any day ,Are they kidding?

Well, I gotta go and reevaluate my future. See you tomorrow.
