Saving money.

Today's Tids Issue 5,910

Protections:

Marks the day when Hamas stormed across the border to slaughter over a thousand of innocent young Israelis at a concert. . It’s a gruesome moment to remember when loved ones died or were abducted. To never forget. The moment that begat a bloody, horrifc that never seems to end.  To remember why the middle east is in flames again

If peace ever comes, the world will also remember the innocent Palestinians caught inthe crossfire in wars that nobody wins.

AMD CEO Lisa Su says the tech world has to think bigger about AI! Say what? While the investment community is beginning to think they may be geetting too far ahead of potential returns, Su says you can’t invest enough in this technology: “When you talk about where we are today, it is all about AI and how to use AI to really impact every single industry out there, and to build the foundation of that so you have have enough AI compute.” Just in case you may be wondering where your world is going.

Halloween seemed more fun when it was home grown and spontaneous as opposed to today’s commercially programmed excitement.

I sat and watched the moon the other night. From where I sit now it was hanging over Portsmouth RI and it was mesmerizing. I felt I could reach out and touch it. I couldn’t turn away. It was a moment, and I felt the vastness of the cosmos speaking to me

The Question:

What are the favorite types of bread for Americans?

A lot of financial planners are looking like geniuses around now, but their real value is measured when the clouds are bleak.

I'm thinking that sending troops to cities is a quick fix to imrpove occupancy rates at Trump Hotels.

As I was saying last week, one thing for sure about this NFL season is that any team can beat anybody. We saw that a lot this past weekend and last night Jacksonville beat mighty KC. Has the magician lost it? Is the boyfriend getting old? Or is Cohen just a great new coach for Jax who knows how to get the potential out of silky maned Lawrence.

When does a dad joke become a dad joke? When it becomes apparent.

The Insurrection Act is under the spotlight. Trump mentioned it to reporters a day or two ago as something he could impose to justify moving troops into Portland. In the hands of the wrong people, it can put innocent Americas in jail. The Insurrection act of 1807: “The Insurrection Act authorizes the president to deploy military forces inside the United States to suppress rebellion or domestic violence or to enforce the law in certain situations. The statute implements Congress’s authority under the Constitution to “provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions.” It is the primary exception to the Posse Comatatus Act under which federal military forces are generally barred from participating in civilian law enforcement activities.”

Commuter traffic should be light today as millions will be at home ordering for October Prime Day Deals. It looks like Apple products will be featured. But there is plenty more if you are in a buying frame of mind. Check it out. After you read the Tids, of course.

Stopping illegal entrants into the US is something that had to be done to preserve the integrity of a great nation. But extending t ot exclude legal visas is irrational. That;s what is confusing good people, reasonable decisions that evolve into illogical actions.

In a poll, we find that millions of Americans tune into MLB games with the Ya, Ya, ya... just to hope they lose. Yes, that is a fact.

This weekend I'll be witness to the smallest government entity in action, the condominium association annual meetig. Preserving neighborhood integrity at the lowest level is the foundation upon which the United States was conceived.

Why did Shakespeare only write using pens? Pencils confused him – 2B or not 2B.

The Answer:

Number one is Garlic followed by Sourdough, Croissant, Baguette, Naan, Bagel, Biscuit, Banana Bread, Ciabatta and Tortilla. The next few are Toast, Pita, Breadstick, Cornbread, Brioche, English Muffin, Hawaiian, Focaccias, Monkey and Potato. Old Standby's White, Wheat and Rye are 22, 26 and 27. One of my fave’s, Pumpernickel, is #30.

Gotta Run, see you tomorrow.
