Today;s Tids Issue 5,967
And upon the hill:
Well... here we are on the verge. The tension will begin to unwind, and te heart will take over. We’ll start thinking of Christmas's past and who will walk in that door after Santa as has done his deed. And we will remember all those we won’t ever see again but who will always be a part of every Christmas day. And, somehow, I believe that people in all circumstances find a way to look up and feel what Christmas is all about. Love.
You're aren’t going to s love this one: What do reindeer use to decorate their antlers? Hornaments. Oh noooo – not so Tree-mendous after all.
Greenland seems like a nice, peaceful place. I think peace on that green earth should continue. Isn’t that the spirit of Christmas?
“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.” --Norman Vincent Peale

Somehow, I feel that with the advent of “The Cloud” we all began losing control of our lives.
One thing I have learned by writing this morning mess is that there is a relative handful of people in the world who would rather not ever hear the truth. And that is too much.
Winter, winter, Christmas dinner.

Regardless of how slick lawyers and Publicists can be, I am always one of those where-there's-smoke-there’s-fire guys.
“What I don't like about office Christmas parties is looking for a job the next day.” --Phyllis Diller
It was just announced that former Repub Senator Ben Sasse, 53, will have to be courageous all over again. He who was always willing to standup for what is right will now continue to fight for principle in the few short months til he dies. He just announced he has terminal Pancreatic cancer and that he will not stop fighting.
A family in Massachusetts town of Dartmouth just beyond RI built a 13 Foor Snowman and put a smoke machine in it to make the large corn cob pipe smoke. The cars were backed up along the country lane called Russell Miles Road.
It costs more to have TV and internet services in your house than it does for average monthly car payments. And most people can only use a smidge of what they are paying for. Whoops. That sounded cool for a Tidlet when I thought about it, but like perhaps a bit too clever with too much poetic license. So, I looked it up and found that in 2025 the average Monthly new car payment was $748 and the average used car payment was $532. Interestingly, the average interest rate for new cars was 6.56% versus 11,4% for used cars. How come I keep seeing car ads touting $299/ mo.
“Maybe Christmas, the Grinch thought, doesn't come from a store.” --Dr. Seuss
I have read lots of quotes about Christmas for this Tids and maybe what I have noticed is that Christmas is not what is under the tree, but what is in your heart. Though Saint Francis of Assisi said “For it is in giving that we receive”.
Doesn't it seem kind of sad that during this week of Christmas spirit and good things about humans, the news is dominated by the Epstein files.
“I once bought my kids a set of batteries for Christmas with a note on it saying, toys not included.” --Bernard Manning
I guess it’s time for me to shut up for a while. You've been more than patient. You know though, I do have one last thing. I always go into the Christmas day with that wonderful childlike innocence so I can believe in all the wonderfulness of this special time. So I can laugh with Santa again. So I can feel the glow of that baby in a Manger and look up and see the stars, the skies brighter than ever. And hear the heavenly choirs singing. Yeah, being a kid again is Ok.
