Today's Tids Issue 6,004
Be cautious tomorrow:
Eventually, AI will learn how to improve itself well beyond the capabilities of human assistance. And where will that leave us.
On a brighter note, it will be a balmy 35 degrees today. I’ll probably feel sluggish. You can't win, can you.
Happy Birthday, Abe! Remember when we used to celebrate your birthday before teh the concept of trophies for all.
The Question:
“He awoke in the darkness while others slept”. That was Leonardo DaVinci. We think we know a lot about him, the Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, his engineering and architectural drawings, and more. What do you tin are five things that are rarely known about him?
The Headlines:

--According to Sources in Soel SK, NK’s Kim Jong Un Has Chosen his Approximately 13yo Daughter Ju Ae as Heir.

Web sites and apps I’ve used happily for decades keep trying to improve themselves “For my convenience and contentment" and invariably it rarely works for the better,
Have you noticed that the middle three letters of first are IRS, as in pay us first.
Never throw out the talent for the politics.
From what I read people seemed to like James Van Derbeek who died too young at 33 two days ago. I never saw him in anything. A Go Fund Me page has raised over a $1,000,000 to help with the financial strain for his family. In two days, they raised a mil. Maybe life insurance is obsolete. I think a new business could be writing pleas for crowd funding. I'd be cheaper than insurance premiums.
Here’s an interesting headline I saw today: “AI turns from lifting all boats to sinking ships.” Red flags are being raised and the biggest one is in the Sanet where a bipartisan team is proposing legislation that will protect consumers from the overbuilt energy guzzling data scenters. Yes, AI looked like clear sailing on steady breezes but there are reefs beneath that may change courses.
The Answer:
First, Leonardo’s real name is Lionardo di ser Piero da Vinci. He was illegitimate son of wealthy Florentinean Ser Piero and an unwed peasant woman named Caterina (BTW, that twosome had 12 other children but only Leo was between the two of them). Illegitimacy had its advantages. By law, he didn’t have to follow in his father’s footstep's but was free to go out on his own. He was mainly self-taught though his art talent was recognized early. He ever completed his first two commissions as he left Florence for Milan to work for the Storza family under whom he painted the Last Supper. His first two commissions were to paint an altar piece forthe Chapel of Saint Bernard and a Painting: “Adoration of the Magi” for a monastery. He was an accomplished musician writing music and playing various instruments. He invented the Organ-Viola-Harpsichord instrument finally introduced to society in 2013. He worked for 17 years on his biggest piece, a 25 foot high sculpture of a man on a horse until the French invaded Milan and used it for target practice. Yikes. He was a chronic procrastinator. Yeah, I could be him... with a lot more talent.
This is what I think is one of the more beautiful songs ever written:
