The respect:
As of this morning the total Olympic Medal count has it Norway dominating with 28. Italy is second with 23 followed by USA 19 and Japan at18. Germany with 17 is next followed by Austria 15, France 15, Netherlands 12, Sweden 11 and Canada 11. Norway ahs 12 golds followed by Italy 8, US and Netherlands' 6. Austria, Sweden and Switzerland each have 5. You can see there is a good balance, and a competitive Olympics which I believe has been reported fairly by NBC. The Netwoek has been giving proper due to all winners and valiant efforts. Ok, sometimes with a little more enthusiasm for the USA. But that's the beauty of the olympics when fellow competitors and fair-minded observers salute the victories of all. At the Olympics the world seems more equal and fair. And supportive of each other.

Well, the stock market is back today, and your guess is as good as mine, probably better. The predictions for the rest of the week are based on the same ills that have plagued trading lately. We'll see
You have to be careful of misleading advertising. I was looking at a product called “Butter Chicken”. Butter, Chicken. Chicken, Butter. What could be wrong with that combination. Except that the chicken is marinated in yogurt with ginger and garlic plus garam, masala, turmeric and cumin and then grilled or pan fried. After that it is it is then simmered in a gravy of tomatoes, butter, cream and a blend of more spices including Kadsuri Methi. How could it possibly taste like chicken in butter? I’ve got to get more worldly.
The Question:
The Summer Olympics have legends like Jim Thorpe and Jesse Ownes to talk about. Who is the greatest winter Olympics champion of all time? Bonus: What were the real names of the Righteous Brothers?

Where do these great American woman Bobsled drivers practice? I haven't seen many ice shoots alongside of the road.
I was flowing this morning until had to print a doc and the Print function in Word disappeared. There's an old maxim that says -- before you marry a person, you should first make them use a computer with a slow Internet connection or new version of Word to see who they really are.
I have always enjoyed the Pairs in Olympic ice-skating competition. Actually, all the competitors look pretty good to me. I usually judge them by the music and how they react to the emoitos of it. But one pair definitely stood out last night and their music worked, Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara of Japan won the gold and they were amazing to me. Even better than their music.
The opposite of croissant is a happy uncle.
In the Olympics you see how the spirit of the people cuts through the clouds of the politicians.
My body would collapse just after four gates in that slalom race last night.
It's ok to have s Pop music for the Olympic figure skating... as long as it is as eloquent as the majestic efforts of the skater, perhaps like some of the classical power of yore.
The Answer:
Marit Bjorgen of Norway is considered the greatest having won 15 total medals including 8 gold in Cross Country Skiing between 2002 an 2017. Johannes Hasflot Klaebo (Nor), Bjorn Daehlie, (Nor) and Eric Heiden (US) would also be in the mix. I thought it was Sonja Heine, Or am I thinking of Hans Brinker and his silver skates. Bonus: They were Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley.
One of the songs that stood up well for a pairs team last night was this oldie but goodie.
