DT Barnum.

Today's Tids Issue 6070

Softness:

Cage Fighting; Declaration of Independence. I don't get it.

Google uses AI now to find stuff. But I'm noticing that almost everything they find is in Wikipedia. So maybe we should all just go to Wikipedia and skip the middle android.

How many thrillers are a twist on Michael Crichton’s groundbreaking “Andromeda Strain?

The moon and the sun

Bighten our skies.

Yet the softest glow,

Is in a human's eyes.

The Question:

Why is the moon associated with romance?

The Headlines;

--Stock Markets Wading through Slush of Uncertainty; Investors Waiting for Tomorrow's Inflation Report.

--Putin Advises US to remove all Diplomats and Citizens form Kyev. Relentless Russia Attacks on Ukraine Infrastructure in Ukraine; UK Intelligence says 500,000 Russian Soldiers Killed in War.

--Israel Attacks Tyre in Southern Lebanon.

--WHO reaffirms Possible Catastrophe in DR Congo; US Establishing Guidelines for Admitting DR Congo people for Sovver Matches

You are going to hear a lot about the NY Knicks in the NBA Playoffs because NYC is the capital of the media industry. Get used to it. Personally, I’m rooting for San Antonio. I gave up on the Knicks when Sweetwater Clifton left.

How’d you like to be working for the CDC and your Boss calls you in and says: “You got a promotion. You will be in Atlanta Airport in charge of testing DR Congo visitors for Ebola.

Tomorrow's the big inflation report day. Some are thinking it is going to be really bad, and not just because of gasoline at the pump.

As a lad I was always fascinated by those mahogany hull speedboats on Long Island Sound and on upstate lakes. It wasn’t just me, they always drew crowds of gawkers.

You learn patience when you plant a garden. More people in this world should plant gardens.

The other day I heard a guy saying that kids today are not taught how to cross streets other own. They have crossing guards, bus guards and now towns are using camera and pricy speeding tickets to slow down cars, which 99% of intelligent people have been doing all by themselves for yearsI learned early how to cross busy streets, and I was only knicked a couple of times. But it was good practice for football. (Don’t get me started on speed cameras.)

People with differing personalities are good for each other as long as they respect the other person's differences.

Trump is doing a good job of potentially fortifying his political back up in congress, but is everybody agreeing with him really good for the country,

Some days the Tids blank page is blanker than other days. But it does make you think harder.

The Answer:

First it is gentle illuminations, not harsh. It casts a dream likk glow on people. It reigns over the intimacy of nighttime where lovers can feel secure being alone. The moon is caressing and not a distraction so they can focus on each other. It is a metaphore for devotion where lovers separated by distances can feel emotionally connected looking at the same glowing orb. It is prominent in Mythology for instance when moon goddess Selene fell into an eternal romantic gaze over a sleeping mortal Endymion. The moon is woven into songs and poems of love. It’s just plain awesome.

See you tomorrow, with brains.
