Today's Tids Issue 6,108

 Juicy:

I wanted to start this Tids with a little levity, but I can't get my mind unwrapped from the story of the Fed Judge cancelling the Trump IRS Lawsuit solution deal. As an American citizen I was incredulous at the time of the announcement of the resolution that deal; couldn’t believe the government could grant general immunity from Tax audits for the President, his family and friends, The whole thing seemed suspect to me. And now it seems there is even more to the story than what is on the surface. It is certainly a far better award for being president than franking privileges for life.

I dropped an ice cube under the refrigerator, but now it's just water under the fridge.

Banks are reporting the biggest profits in banking history. JP Morgan results were crazy high. The reasons are a boom in investment banking, red hot equities trading and elevated interest rates. Maybe banks could ease interest rates to get more people into homes.

Did you ever notice how many geniuses are created in the financial world when Wall Street is on fire.

The Question:

Which states produce the best tomatoes?

The Headlines:

--Markets Mixed; Bank Stocks Come in with Big Profit Reports; Lower Gas Prices has Inflation Easing in June; Stocks Finish wth Flurrt after Cooler CPI Report.

--In first Official Congress Meeting Warsh Says Fed has no Tolerance for Persistently Elevated Inflation.

--Darline Nardone, Lindsey Graham's Sister, to Fill Out His Senate Term; Lines Being Drawn for Election to Replace Graham.

--Rubio Argues for Dismantling of International Criminal Court; Says it Interferes with US military Plans.

--Trump to Speak to Nation Thursday Night; No Reason Given: Expected to Talk On Iran and Elections.

I think that car chases ruin many a decent movie. And that goes for bicycle, motorcycle, boat and running people too. A well written movie does not need a chase to entertain.

Do you realize that the leaders of businesses and government now come from the {Trophies for alll generation. Nervous yet?

If you put your left shoe on the wrong foot, it’s on teh roght foot.

What do you think world shippers and free trade countries would say if President Trump, say, proposed that the US become the Guardian of the Hormuz offering safe passage and charging a 20% which for an average loaded tanker would amount to a $30 million fee? Well, he did, and the shippers and countries howled. And He changed his mindWhich was good for the price of oil, too.

How do you know if someone is hitchhiking or just complimenting your driving?

I think that companies who respect their employees do better than those who create fear.

I remember how for me the Baseball All-Star game was must watch TV. Right now it is just something interrupting the Red Sox hot streak.

I really like movies, but I dont like the Hollywood mystique and inane celebrity stories.

Queen Elizabeth had Four kids – Anne, Charles, Andrew and Edward. Charles is King and Andrew (66) is outta there and basically dismissed from society after Epstein, But Ann (76) and Edward (62) are two extremely hard-working Royals. Anne never stops in her charity work. The hundreds of charities in her daily efforts are focused on sports, science and armed forces. And young Edward (62) who we hear least about is a global representative of the crown, heading many charities mainly for children and the arts.

It seems to me that having Harry reuniting with his father and brother is a good thing. He fits intobthe global entitled generaiton, but his finding family is more important than things and fame,

There were about ten big headlines yesterday about DT. There’s got to be more about life than that.

There are three kinds of people-- Those who can count and those who can't.

The Answer:

If my tomato source doesn't say “Jersey”, then my source is wrong. Well, AI got it right saying almost all tomato experts say New Jersey is the best, most delicious of all. Next listed is North Carolina. but other Mid-Atlantic states are right up there in taste. Cal dominates in volume. The other nine top producing states are Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, South Carolina, New Jersey, North Carolina and Virginia.

This is as close to a Jersey tomato that I could get.
