Today's "Easter Tids Issue 3,015
Opening Stuff:
Well, it’s about that time
to roll up
the papyrus and lay down the old quill for a few days.
What if, I thought as I held the
quill in my hand this day, a solemn day that begets a magnificent Sunday morning
– what if this feather was from a dove
that hovered above that cave, the tomb of the Son of God 1982 years ago. A
perfect white, gentle and peaceful bird that would spread it wings in glorious
sunshine that Easter morning. To soar above in crystalline blue skies to bring
word to all that the promise of Adam and Eve has been fulfilled with the
glorious resurrection for the good and future of all mankind. How would this
white feather guide my hand, to what words?
That God erased the sin of man’s
weakness to give us all a new future of hope and love? That every year we
should remember at this time the perfection we can achieve through the free
will of our own being? That temptations will always arise, but the glory of
today’s brilliance would be the light that guides us all towards true love and giving
to others. To use our talents well, to achieve rather than to deceive. To believe
in the power of goodness. With love for family and friends and people we have never
met.
“And early in the morning
the first day of the week, they came unto the spulchre at the rising of the sun. And
they said among themselves, ‘Who shall roll away the stone from the door of the
sepulcrhe?’ And when they looked they saw the stone had been rolled away, and
it was great. And entering into the sepulcrhe , they sw a young man sitting on
the right side, clothed ina long white garment and they were affrightened. And
he saith unto them. ‘Be nt affrghteb=ned. Ye seek Jesus o f Nazareth, which was
crucified: he is risen, he is not here. Behold the palce where they had laid
him.’.” Mark 16:16:2 – 16:6
I think if I were stand
there that morning, watching white doves hover above this miracle for all mankind,
I believe I would hear this:
Amen.
Have a wonderful Easter everybody. God wanted us to
have chocolate too.
