Perfection is in the eye of the beholder.

Today's Tids Issue 3,379
Opening Stuff:

They say it is a perfect day.
But, it’s getting in my way.
I just want to think and sit,
Now I must do something, with it!

One of my pet peeves is the way styles come and go. Perfectly pleasant spaces and comfortable apparel are changed by people in lofts in NYC who I don’t know, and with whom I have little in common. Generations change previous generation’s visual whims and notions for change sake. Instead of saying “Ah, I love that 80’s or 50’s look, they look at perfectly usable space or clothes as “That’s just so eighties, and I am fresh and modern.” They are, that is until the next generation comes along. Do I want to look like, a designer, or do I want to be myself.? I’ll take me. And you’ll probably take you. There’s plenty of stuff that never goes out of style, and that’s where I will go every time. I will always pick simple and neat over fins on cars, pink tile in bathrooms and suits without Nehru jackets.

“Let’s go fly a kite, Up to the highest height. Let’s go fly a kite and send it soaring up through the atmosphere; up where the air is clear! Ooooh, let’s go fly a kite!” It will be thrilling. It will be exhilarating. Who knows, maybe God will touch it and you will feel the love on a perfect summer day.

Wall Street analysts are writing about how the Chinese stock markets can’t possibly survive under a system of government manipulation. Yet, for the past several years the stalwarts on Wall Street have been whimpering to Yellen to keep the market going with low interest rates. And if their risks go awry, they will scurry again to the head of the line at the Fed give-away program for a Bailout. And capitalists wonder why the left hates them so, and Main Street is wary of their acumen. If they played by the rules of fair and honest, by-the-book capitalism, then the system would work pretty darn well, and the scoundrels, the careless and irresponsible would feel the brunt of their financial perversions and bad decision making, perhaps seeking caution in the future.. Capitalism works just fine when the government steps out, and honest responsible people play.

The Question:
What are the five Whitest States?

People look at New England’s superb tight end, Gronkowski as a wild and crazy guy. But there is a lot more residing beneath the surface of that delightful character of good will and happy non-drug induced fun. The kid thinks too. My intrepid Patriot’s insider tells me that Gronk banks 100% of his salary and lives only off of his endorsement income. His reason: “When the merry-go-round stops, I want get off and stand tall for the rest of my life. Makes sense to me.

A lot of people are going to have second thoughts about naming their cats “Atticus”.

Speaking of money madness, Bono’s mega yacht is docked down the street at 41 North. Why do I need to study math, I have good vocal chords, or at least I fake it well.

Bono is one of several world celebs like Angelina Joli spending time raising money to give Africans financial aid, to reduce poverty. But there’s another side of the story rarely told. There a growing faction on that continent that is saying, “Stop with the kindness, already!” This vocal group is composed of business people and professionals, former poverty born Africans, who went off the continent to become successful in their fields, and wealthy. The motto under which they operate is Africans don’t need handouts, they need opportunity. And these earnest people are putting up money, and drawing on their experience to imbue a spirit of individual achievement; to create the proverbial “catch a fish mentality”.

On the same note, as the US media focuses on celebrity, the Chinese are coming in to that so-called “Dark Continent” and creating real growth opportunities for local Africans who will then have the ability sustain their own poverty beating, nation growing income. It will work beautifully if they can keep the local dictator’s hands out of their pockets. Meanwhile Hollywood will build statues to their good hearts, make speeches at narcissistic awards ceremonies, while China along with thoughtful Africans get the job done.

France’s Hollende is saying that the Greek deal is “good for Europe”, because his own socialist built country is teetering a bit too.

Even the inexpensive hamburger places are getting pricy as they realize people will pay ala carte to build their perfect burger, and get aboard yet another American cultural trend – arguing about the best burger. Burgers are in danger of going the way of other over publicized fads – overdone. And I just hate overdone burgers.

And is there a more over done food fad than Mac n’ Cheese? Every chef says he or she will improve on Mn’C! Say what? You don’t improve on Mom’s Mac and Cheese. Or on Stauffers classic frozen dish, for that matter. Better than moms! Horrors.

A perfect day is not having to worry about the weather to be happy.

By the way, I have never been a big fan of megalomaniac The Donald, and I avoid watching him whenever possible. But, hey news media, he was talking about illegal immigrants, as opposed to lumping together all immigrants as has been implied by a dishonest press.

In case you are interested and want to get a sense of the financial week ahead, Wall Street should be jumping as many key indicator companies report their earnings: J&J. JP Morgan, Intel, Goldman, United Health, GE, IBM, Apple, Microsoft, Travelers, United Technologies, American Express, Boeing. Coca-Cola, 3M, Caterpillar, McDonalds, Visa, DuPont, Exxon, P&G, Disney, Home Depot and Wal-Mart. I think we’ll have  sense of direction after that group that covers America, reports. Get ready.

All you have to know about how the USA would look after a Bernie Sanders admin can be summed up in one word: Greece.

Do you get the feeling that Aspirin sent out the latest FDA warning about just about every OTC drug but the good ole’ standard?

The Parking Lot: Chapter 4.
1620, Plymouth England.
The Hicks family had been missing the boat for years. Robert and his wife Elizabeth stood on the dock that misty morning, faces drawn, shivering a bit, with aches in their hearts as they watched the Mayflower hoist it’s sails and leave for the world of new promises. Robert was doing alright financially, but he like his friends wanted to achieve religious freedom in that land across the dark ocean, a virgin place of bountiful green forests and clear cool lakes; a land without governmental tyranny.
Splash! Elizabeth’s scream snapped him out of his serene journey. “What!” he exclaimed, his head spinning towards the commotion. Elizabeth just stood, open mouthed and speechless, pointing at the black, murky waters below the pier. He looked and saw son John, a smile on his face, looking down a circle of spreading ripples. “Where’s Ephraim?” shouted Robert as he ran to the side of the wooden deck.
John pointed to the water, “I think he fell. Must have tripped.” John was still smiling though as Robert removed his heavy leather coat and dove in. Just as Robert’s hands knifed into the water, Ephraim’s head popped up and he was screaming, not for his life but at his brother John; yelling out every forbidden epithet he could muster. His taking God’s name in vain, and worse would get him into more trouble than John.”
But, that’s the way it was with John Hicks. He knew how to create situations that got everybody into trouble, and walk away innocently. At twelve years old, he was a born flimflammer.
Elizabeth rushed over as a drenched Robert pulled himself up; Ephraim was trying to pummel John, who was trying to talk Ephraim out of it. The four other children watched and seemed to enjoy the family show. Elizabeth hugged Robert, “It won’t be long until another ship sails. That’s what they told us. Be patient, Robert. God will love you.” He looked up at his two oldest boys, and wondered.
Robert sailed on the Fortune in 1621, and Elizabeth and the children joined him at Plymouth Colony year later, arriving on The Anne in 1622.

The Answer:
Obviously, this could change at any given moment as the population soars. But, the most white states are Maine (96.8%), socialist Vermont996.4%), New Hampshire (96%), West Virginia (95.6%) and Iowa (93.4%).

Hope the week is good to you all, everyone.
