For Black Cats with White Paws:
What
now!
Austin Rogers has lost. He was taken down by a very smart woman named Scarlett
Sims. But, is she funny? That is the
question. Austin was retired as the fifth all-time money winner, and he took
defeat like you might expect – gracefully and humorously. 7:30 PM will not be
the same.
It
is easier than ever for words to be taken the wrong
way. Perfectly honest, innocent words that don’t agree with an ideological vocabulary
will be considered poison. And the speaker, writer will never know what hit him
or her.
Icons
in Biz and entertainment are falling like Autumn leaves
in a hurricane. The man everybody feared was taken down, and now no power
predator is safe from the formerly helpless prey. This could be the start of the sexual de-revolution,
and the world will be a better place for it.
The
Question:
Caitlin and its spelling variations is a pretty popular
name. Name five different ways that people spell Caitlin? Bonus: Consumer reports has come out with their new Top 10 Worst Cars.
What do you think they are?

I’d
probably never do well on Jeapardy because I can never
remember how to spell the show’s name.
I
had a nice little sad story about lovable goofy
penguins slotted for this spot. But, I read further into my research, double checking
my source and found I had started based on a false premise. So, I spiked it. That’s
what all journalists do, right?
I
think the Wienstein Group may just be a little bit open to
law suits as they gave Harvey a contract that essentially allowed him to
sexually attack women without fear of company
repercussion. Sell your WC stock.
“Autos
ad Gasoline Push Retail Sales Higher For Month.” How
is that helpful to understanding the base retail businesses like dress and shoe
shops, hardware stores and jewelry shops. I think analysts need to recategorize
the categories.
Amidst
the huzzahs on Wall Street, there are several
ominous signs creeping into reports. One is the big banks growing fascination with
mortgage/finance companies dedicated solely to the “Flipping” business. Loans
there are over $40 Billion, which is reminiscent of the days before the 2007
mess. In addition, the Credit Card write-offs are continuing to grow higher for
several successive months. Some big banks have divisions that provide affordable
credit for people of high risk, and others are looking at the idea. Someday people
will have to pay the bill. Yes, paying bills is still part of American life. Remember
around 2008/09 when the outcry was that banks have to get back to stricter risk
analysis. I c-guess banks can only grow so much without lendin to losers.
I
know a guy who made a bundle in the marine industry
because he had a flare for signaling from ship to ship.
A
hole in the ice in Antarctica is called a polynya.
Why can’t scientists just call it a big hole in the ice?
Cadillac
will be pushing a new station wagon called Escala, which
looks longer than a slow freight train to Chattanooga.
Some
people will agree with Trump’s EO on healthcare and some
will oppose it. That’s for sure. Another thing that’s for sure, Trump with EO now
owns ACA and all of its positive and negative ramifications.
By
the way, I was always an independent business person looking
for affordable healthcare. There were groups we could join to get the semblance
of big company group insurance. It seemed to work ok then. Today though, you hear
of ay people who just take jobs to get healthcare, salary be damned. I think
that comes from the politicizing of what used to be a business.
Forget
feminism and manhood for a second. But, which sounds better
– “him and her” or “her and him”. I mean, this is a test of phonetics not sexual
loyalty. Can you say that?

Between the Lines Movie Reviews:
--The critical favorite this week is Professor Marston
and the Wonder Women, which to me from the title sounds unwatchable. This is
actually a fact-based tale. Marston, a1940’s Harvard professor is the creator
of Wonder women, a character he pabsed on hihs wife and their lover. Tis was
secret he had to keep, lest he be forced to leave the university. Hmmm. I
wonder what Harvey would ahve thought of this arrangement. So, is this a film
supporting three-way affairs.
--Actually, The Foreigner looks real good to me. It
is an action thriller with Jackie Chan as a father who lost a daughter in a
terrorist explosion pitted against Government official Pierce Brosnan blocking
his efforts to track down the terrorists. Yup, sounds like a winner to me, and probably
lots of people.
--Marshall is a well-crafted look at the life of the
first Black Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. Should be good.
--Happy Death Day is a darkly humorous look at
slasher movies. I might be enticed to going.
They
are calling the Marston movie, “Ground breaking”. I
thought we are in the midst of witnessing today in the HW scandal what happened
from broken moral ground.
The
Answer:
Caitlin can be Kaitlyn, Kaitlin, Katelyn, Catelyn,
Kaytlin, Kaytlyn, Caytlin, Caytlyn. The se may be the most popular spellings,
but one source says there are actually 237 ways to spell the popular name. So,
if somebody named Caitlin says, “you spelled my name wrong,” you are probably right.
Bonus: Many of these worst cars are
based on too high a price for the added benefits. And a few are just bad cars.
#10 is the Mitsubishi Mirage. Next is the Mitsubishi MiEV followed by Fiat
500L, Chrysler 200, Toyota Tacoma, Dodge Journey, Mercedes Benz CLA, Maserati
Ghilal, Land Rover Discovery Sport and Cadillac Escalade. (Note: The Escalade
is clearly one which is much too expensive for what you get, so says CR. Great
for wealthy athletes, says TT)
Well,
we made it through another week, somehow, penguin
disasters and all.
Have
a great weekend, Ev-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!
