The Middle of somewhere.

Today's Tids Issue 3,979
For Turning Off the Noise:

I think the world was a much better place when the people led private lives and there were no Tidsters…er…ah…I mean…tweeterers.

It seems to me that one of the main tasks of modern day state and local government is to create traffic problems in the name of progress.

This is going to be a great week. I can feel it in my bones. Enjoy it.

Remember when Tim Tebow took a knee for what he believed in, and was laughed off the stage by the smug and cultural elite.

The profound silence following an orchestral crescendo is exhilarating.

Things I never read begin with the words, “Congratulations, you’ve been selected…”

Wouldn’t you like to know more about that strangeness in Cuba that has our diplomats falling prey to some mystery illness that causes hearing loss and cognitive difficulties. Part of the mystery is that it may be a third party causing the attack on the embassy. Cuba says it is not guilty, claiming why would we want to put damper on our new tourist business? So, nobody really seems to know anything, but that isn’t stopping The US from removing diplomats or Insurance companies taking a second look at offering Travel Insurance.

I think the country would do well to leave the deaths of fallen soldiers as private matters for families. Turning these heroic tragedies into political fodder is a downright shame.

It would be really good for the country if we could get the media to stop reporting news from the extremes. But, unfortunately, they are in the extreme.

Super beets?

People who know Puerto Rico or have lived there say that corruption will be one of the big obstacles to putting it back together. Actually, corruption has been the problem that helped to deteriorate the country before Maria ever came calling.

America seems to be having trouble breathing, liked it has been kneed in the groin. Ouch.

It appears that many of our nations former fawned upon stars are now spending time in booths at Comicon around the nation. And star struck kids, and similarly inclined adults, pay big bucks for photos.

Some of the bathrooms in Newer US homes are larger than an entire house in Puerto Rico.

Fish don’t have Loins, so how do you get a cod loin? Basically, cod filets are very large and tend to be cut into smaller pieces, with the pieces in the middle now being called cod loins. They could have been called center cut cod. Or, perhaps little pieces of cod. Basically, this is what you get from chef schools.

The Answer:
Ok, here we go: Joyce Randolf – Yes “Trixie” is the only remaining member of the famed Honeymooners cast of Jackie Gleason, Art Carney and Audrey Meadows (Note: Meadows replaced the original Alice Kramden Pert Kelton after Kelton was “Blacklisted”.). Latanya Richardson Jackson is the wife of Samuel Jackson who she met in college. She has had major roles in films like Fried Green Tomatoes, Malcom X and Sleepless in Seattle; Corbert Berenson was a household name while starring as Arnold Becker in LA Law: Melora Walters is an Arabian born American actress who you have seen often in Movie and TV roles like Debbie on Roseanne or Jane on the Hampton’s Episode of Seinfeld. She was a favorite of Director Paul Thomas Anderson; If You are a big Soapy fan you’ll remember John Wesley Shipp for roles as Kelly Nelson in Guiding Light and as Douglas Cummings in As The World Turns. He is most currently known forhis big role in Flash; Jeremy Miller is best known as Ben Seaver on Growing pains. He was also the voice of Linus Van Pelt in “Happy New Year Charlie Brown”; Will Estes is Jamie Reagan on Blue Bloods; Michael McMillan has created and written the comic book Lucid…and has starred in TV shows like What I Like About You and True Blood. (Note: Joyce Randolf was not actually the first Trixie, but had permanently replaced Elaine Stritch after one episode. So, in reality, she was Trixie Norton for all times.)

Keep it simple and enjoy life.
