Today's Tids Issue 3,976
For Cherry Trees:
Yesterday
I was in a folk-art museum where featured was a 7 foot tall
wooden carving of George Washington. It was awesome. I felt his greatness, and
it is with that greatness in mind that I view America every day.
If
you allow so many people into your personal life with
Facebook, then why would you even consider closing your curtains at night.
One
of the more annoying aspects of modern day life is trying to remember passwords.
All this because of people in the world who have no morals and only want to
take advantage of another’s hard work. When you think about it, how many laws
are passed to protect people from the uncivilized, unaware, inconsiderate and
just plain evil.
A
yawn
is a silent scream for coffee.
Except
on certain days when ready The Tids. Then it is pure
unadulterated ennui.
In
case you have always wondered, you will know when you
are dead. Yes, science has determined that the mind keeps on going once the
body stops functioning. There is always something to look forward to in life.
The Question:
Who was the first Supreme Court Chief Justice?

I
listened to a lot of the Sessions inquisition yesterday.
Mostly it was about Senators asking gotcha innuendo questions about Russia and
other senators offering a defense for the AG. Occasionally somebody would ask a
question of the AG that would actually be of importance to the Americans and
not just to aggrieved politicians. Like one that stood out, What are you doing
about cyber-crime? Yeah Sessions, what are you doing about it?
Yesterday
I alluded to Trump’s main liability of adding from the hip
comments on just about anything that flits into his mind. His constant comparing
himself to other Presidents instead of just feeling comfortable in his own
self. His comments about his dedication to phone calls to families of killed
soldiers versus that of other presidents has really not helped his ability to
look credible, and created a time wasting firestorm from the hungry to get him
press.
I
think that many women who undergo “makeovers” actually looked
better before being molded by the hands of some designer.
Some
restaurants say they have Chicken or veal Saltimbocca…with
delicious Marsala sauce. But, real saltimbocca is delicious with a non-marsala
wine demiglace. So if they say “Marsala”, avoid.
I
like natural stuff.
North
Korea Says that are planning to launch more satellites.
That doesn’t sound positive for the rest of the world.
Meghan
Kelley is trying to rebuild her career by trying to look
like a regular person.
I’ve
seen license plates up here that say “Vermont Strong”. Is
that a call to Vermonters to remain tough with Bernie Sanders as their Senator.
The
Answer:
John Jay was the first Supreme Court Justice. There’s
no truth the rumor that Broadway was originally going to produce a show called “Jay”,
but the word looked too small on the Marquee.
Time
to hit the road. Maybe I’ll think of something interesting
while driving.
