Today's Tids Issue 4,633
Plant Something:

I walked this morn to my harbor near the seas
With the thermometer well below 32 degrees.
Yet it was refreshing to feel that windy cold
For sitting iodide is making me grow old.
Life isn’t about waiting for summer’s sweat,
It’s taking advantage of whatever you can get.

One of the nice improvements about the stock market this week is that it ceased being a gigantic emotional wave punishing all stocks, We are beginning to see selectivity again, with stocks being treated for what they are as individual entities. It may be the first week heralding a return to stability.

I see a lot of surveys with the question, “Which is more important in the battle of the Virus – Saving lives or reviving the economy”. Never do they add a third option – balancing the tow for the good of a reasonable future. The huge fact remains that it is virtually impossible to pay people for not working much longer. You ain’t seen nothing yet, if the time comes when people think threat saving themselves from starvation is all thatis important.

Well, it appears that we will have a five headed president if Joe Biden gets elected. And which one will be running the office and the nation -- Obama, Bernie, Liz, AOC or Ellen.

The Question:
In 1992 the Dow achieved a new milestone. What was it? Bonus: On this day in 1973 14 planes took off carrying 186 packages. Why is that date significant?

One of the biggest current crimes against humans is the banning of seed sales in Michigan.

The son of the semiconductor manufacture was a chip off the old block.  Or, was that the son of a blackjack dealer?

Probably one of the bigger problems limiting the possibility of a fast-economic rebirth is how quickly small businesses can crawl out of the abyss. If they are even still around. I’m sure I’m not telling you anything new, it’s just a reminder that there will be big bumps; there is not a big On/Off Switch in the sky.

A nursing home here named Oak Hill has been designated as Corvid only recovery center. That means that those with Covid who no longer need acute hospital care will be sent there for final recovery. Now, over 75% of RI deaths have been at Nursing Homes including teh new recovery center designee. So the doctor walks in, “good news, you are out of ICU, and eligible to be sent to Oak Hill nursing home.” Yikes!

Now for three years I have been loving the Netflix series Ozark, but it a loving relationship with a constant knot in my stomach because you never know what will go wrong next, but you know it is coming for sure. That’s probably why it is so good.

Some times I write poems into the air, and I’m never quite sure if they ever get there.

Some pretty astute observers are saying that all of this stimulus stuff is just pure kicking the can down the road.

Depending n which media is reporting, you get a different picture of Brian Dennehy. Now one media will hail him as a Tony winning actor for his great efforts in “Death of a salesman” and “Long day’s Journey Into Night”. But, a more pop media will exclaim about his efforts in the Rambo movie First Blood and Tommy Boy. He was nominated for six Emmys and was slated to be in the finale of “Blacklist” but production was stopped due to the Virus. The Blacklist people will salute him that finale. BD did not die from CV. He was 81.

What I give up for health! By dong early walks like this morn, I cna’t finish the Tids before Price is Right.

Alas.

The Answer:
Wall Street went berserk when the Dow passed 3,000 for the first time! Zowie!  Bonus: The 14 planes took off from Memphis airport to deliver Federal Express Company’s first 186 packages!

Something is always starting up somewhere.

Time always Marches on.

Have a quiet and peaceful weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
