Today's Tids Issue 4,714
Ban Politics:
The only things certain about today’s wedding scene are debt and tuxes.
These are the dog days, and on some of these days I feel the dog is eating my Tids notes book. I mean the politicization of everything in in America is a joke, and often not worthy of comment. And I’m tired of knocking my head against the wall as the drivel noise rises. It hurts. too. Most US human beings have become smarter than the press, but the press is controlling just about all national commentary and discussion days. Maybe I’ll just reach down into my heart and find pure delightful love that is based on feeling, and not cultural agenda. I know it’s out there. Meanwhile, the dog is madly chewing on my Tids today.
Even though the union is only days old, I already have the feeling that Kamala is laughing behind Joe’s back.
But, Trump would fare much better without bitter racial insinuating attacks on Kamala. His media people should be reminding him that he needs to widen his base, not narrow it.
I knew a chemist who periodically would build tables.
The dog also ate my joke book!
The Question:
Who was the partner of Timothy McVeigh in the Oklahoma City bombing? Bonus: Who was the black woman who ran for Vice President almost 70 years before Kamala? Extra Bonus: What do Americans think are the best new TV Shows/Series that have premiered in the last few years?

A good reader says there is chatter on the web of a major peace gesture coming from Afghanistan -- the Taliban is offering to send peacekeeping troops to Portland Oregon.
Yesterday our NPL, National Plagiarist Laureate said be a patriot, wear a mask. Trump mentioned that as he reluctantly exhorted masking in mid-July and Minnesotans said it way earlier. The guy without his own new creative idea is at it again.
If Kamala gets In, will Tata Motor could buy GM, enabling Jaguar to become the official presidential auto.
This attack on the postal service is annoying to me. I would be doing everything possible to beef up its package delivery business and not making it a political football.
There comes a time…
The Justice Department replying to complaints from old Eli students issued allegations: “Yale’s race discrimination imposes undue and unlawful penalties on ‘racially-disfavored’ applicants.” Yale says it is meritless. Harvard was accused by Asian Americans of showing favoritism to other groups and dismissing their credentials. Harvard did win that case. But there comes a time when the pendulum starts swinging back, when asking for everything becomes too much.
A reader sends this Self-administered Covid test. It’s simple and produces a quick positive/negative determination. As you know, declining taste and smell are proven symptoms. Pour a healthy glass of Bourbon or scotch, If you can smell it you are half way there. Now drink the entire glass. If you can taste it you can assume you are virus free. The sender of this report said that she tested it several times last night and each time she was virus free each time. But in the morning she awakened with another symptom, a headache and will now have to begin the process over again. “Thank God for testing,” She says. And, it helps with lockdown tedium as a bonus
The Answer:
Terry Nichols the unassuming looking American terrorist from Michigan was Timothy’s partner. Bonus: In 1952 Charlotta Bass gave a speech at the Progressive Party Conventions accepting her party VP Candidacy. She said, “I stand before you with great pride. This is a historic moment in history in American political life. Historic for myself, for my people, for women. For the first time in history of this nation a poetical party has chosen a Negroe woman …” (Sound familiar). Born in SC, she lived in Providence RI with her mother, and went on to Cal where she was the first woman (With her Husband) to own and operate a newspaper. Extra Bonus: #1 is my current favorite, and I can’t wait for next season – Ozark! Number two is A Handmaid’s Tale followed by Mindhunter, Big Little Lies, American Gods, The Mandalorian, A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Witcher, The Boys and #10 Santa Clarita Diet. At #14 is Chernobyl, and several people have told me I would, enjoy it.
This dog is done. Thanks for letting me chew my bone.
Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
