Gym Rat Nostalgia:
You have to wonder how many people found each other again this Easter weekend. Oh, they weren’t lost. But so many just weren’t there for so many days, so many hours. No hugs and only smiles distorted by video transfer. But the hearts were always there. Joining once again, families, friends and lovers, must have been so special for so many. After being missed for so many months, the missing stopped and smiles met smiles.
I am one of those who feels that the Covid thing has made big government people very happy. It allowed them to control the independence of the citizens. You know citizens, the people who elect those who are responsible only to citizens. Now there is another blossoming controversary – Requirement for vaccinations to travel, be admitted to entertainment and sports events, play on teams, to go to school, and – work! To show certificates in order to participate in every day normal activities. That seems like new opportunities to over control human behavior. Yet for safety’s sake it is probably the right thing to do. And I suspect most people would make that decision on their own, preferring inoculations all over just to feel comfortable in our new hyperbolic society. But many of the people who are for the official vaccination certificate idea are vehemently against having people prove who they are before being able to exercise the right and privilege of voting.
Actually we probably don’t need ID Cards for anything at all, because some guy In a dark cellar in Kuala Lumpur knows a everything about us and will b voting and traveling for us as us.
The Middle Ages were called the Dark Ages because there were too many knights.
The Question:
So, last night we wrapped up the ubiquitous college basketball season for another year. Who were the last ten Men’s and Women’s NCAA basketball champs?

Having baseball teams run by l Algos is like the 80’s and 90’s when engineering decisions were made by accountants. It was an era that sucked the life out of a lot of good American businesses. Will the Algos (Stats whiz kids who are algorithm savvy) make player decisions over the heads of baseball people including on the field managers? What ever happened to the good old fashioned hunch.

I see where Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will be meeting with the Global heads of state to argue for a global Income tax on all corporate profits. This is an effort to stem the an expected outrush of US companies to cheaper tax havens after Joe B raises the USA corporate tax. I don’t like being a part of centralized global society any mor than I like the idea of people forgetting about the foundation of the US government – States Rights.
BTW, as a little sweeter, Yellen with tell the folks across the globe who are fearful of eth damages to poorer societies and resultant chaos that the US will provide $650 Billion to help countries that fall into post pandemic extreme poverty which potentially could unleash mass migrations to wealthier countries..
America companies trying to reopen are finding it hard to get former employees to give up the life of living without working off of USA stimulus largess.
There was kidnapping at a local school yesterday. Don’t worry, he woke up.
As a good conspiracy theory guy with lots of great conspiracy theory friends, wouldn’t it be possible for governments to declare medical emergencies in the future and create vaccines that would wipe out opposition citizens. Or vaccines that would only leave multitudes of sheeplike people who would be easily manipulated by ideologues. Of course, they already have a mind control system – Hollywood.
They have already come out with 2022 preliminary College Basketball Rankings. Number one is UCLA, that is if super shooter Johnny Juzang doesn’t opt for the pros. The other big change affecting roster improvement or disaster, and of course teams ranking, is this new Transfer pool where kids now regularly leave teams in search for greener pastures. Yes, another step towards the loss of fan interest. The rest of the top Twenty for next year are Gonzaga, Alabama, Duke, Baylor, Ohio State, Florida State, Michigan Perdue, Kansas, Villanova, Houston, Maryland, Kentucky, North Carolina, Arkansas, UConn, Mich State, Saint Bonaventure and #20, Tennessee. Place your bets.

You know you are having a bad day when you are on your morning walk on a brilliantly sunny day and you find that all the flowers you want to photograph are in the shadows.
I admit, I drink brake fluid. But I can stop anytime.
The Answer:
For the women, the last ten were: Stanford, Baylor, Notre Dame, South Carolina, UConn, UConn, UConn, UConn, Baylor and Texas A&M. For the Men it was, Baylor, Virginia, Villanova, North Carolina, Villanova, Duke, UConn, Louisville, Kentucky and UConn.
I understand college sports has gone well beyond rooting for kids who went to college playing against kids who went to college simply for pride and glory. I understand ballplayers on pro teams have the right to migrate wherever better opportunities may emerge. But it is getting a bit absurd as I find myself w rooting for uniforms and promotions at pro and college equipment stores.
