What to do. What to say. My inclination is to say nothing. To wonder why politicians and activists can’t wake to a beautiful sunny day like today and think, it doesn’t get any better than this. And then leave us alone.

Augusta welcomes the greatest golfers for the great traditional Masters tournament. The odds makers have it: Dustin Johnson sits atop the oddsmaker’s list. Tied at second are Jordan Spieth, Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Thomas and Jon Rahm. Next is Rory McIlroy followed by a tie between Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay. Four are tied for th tenth spot, Collin Morikawa, Toy Finau, Viktor Hovland and Patrick Reed. Another group of 4 follows: -- Brooks Koepka, Sungiae Im, Daniel Berger and Cameron Smith. Should be great.

 

I think that it seems as though people in charge of businesses academic institutions and other entities have the right to demand vaccinations. That does not diminish the rights of a vaccine denier to move to another work place of educational opportunity.  It’s like having the ability of moving from state to state if you don’t like one law or another. Like businesses move away from Rhode Island because conditions are mor favorable. elsewhere. The constitution doesn’t protect you from inconvenience, but definitely protects everybody’s freedom to make their own choices.

Inequality began when we started shipping manufacturing overseas in the 80’s in favor of a service economy. That’s an economy which is always built on less skilled workers and working in low value-added industries. We have romanced basically skill less occupations in low margin businesses. Nothing leapt out of the scree for me on The Voice last night. I liked the last duet, but it was probably because I like Nicks/Fleetwood songs like last night’s Dreams. Cam Anthony seems to be one destined to make it to the finals.

Where is it written that congress has to continually make new laws. I’d be happy if they all just took vacations. And the President too. We have more than enough laws. By now we must have covered just about everything. Maybe all we really need is a Supreme Court to help us figure out what we actually already have. And the we have the Ten Commandments which covers just about everything averse to a reasonable civilized society.
