Today's Tids Issue 5,017
Hijacked by pop Culture:
The seas had a wintry glow this morning. It is very comforting.
It seems that Adele changed the world as we know it forever last Friday, and I missed it. I have to stop taking naps.
I hear that the City of Providence RI is trying to establish the city’s robust Club scene zone close to the big hospital since there are so many shootings. How things have changed. Remember, “Want to go paint the town red?” Literally. Instead of barraging flowers to a date, men will bring fashionable designer body armor.
Orange vests seem to do a good job of protecting hunters and bicyclists from accidental deaths. Maybe we also lose less people accidentally if drug dealers wore orange vests too.
Captain Hook bought his hook from a second-hand store.
The Question:

It’s interesting to compare Brahms 1st Symphony with Shubert’s 9th. Well, interesting to those who like to waste time comparing symptoms. There’s a certain drive to each that is similar, But Brahms achieves it better, at least I my humble opinion. But Shubert’s 9th is still considered the “Great” one.
In case you are interested, it appears that our economy is firmly in the hands of former governor of RI, now Secretary of Commerce Gina Ramondo. She aper to be the lead Bidenite in the battle to break the critical supply chain log jam. She will issue some motherly mandates and sound sweet.
You know you should stop eating Cheetos when your feet don’t get wet the shower.
A sixtyish boomer wrote to me in response to last Friday’s Q about the Carpenters, saying: “They didn’t have any good songs. It was just all elevator music.”
Note: A list of the top 30 all-time female singers has Karen C up there pretty well. The top ten are Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Ella Fitzgerald, Karen Carpenter, Barbra Streisand, Tina Turner, Annie Lennox and at #10 Shirley Bassey.
The rest of the Female Top 30 are Christina Aguilera, Gladys Knight, Billie Holiday, Julie Andrews, Etta James, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Nina Simone. In case you are interested, the Adele Hullabaloo is about her new song in which it is said she is open and honest about her divorce. Same say that the album is dedicated to her explaining the split to her so. The world effect based on raving twitterer responses is that this song may ignite a rash of divorces. Adele made me do it.
NFL Broadcaster Tony Romo Makes $17 Million per year. You got to be kidding. me. When you see salaries like that, it tells me that we as consumers ae paying way too much for stuff.
The Answer:
On the morning of February 28, 1953 Watson and Crick determined that the structure of DNA was a double-helix polymer, or a spiral of two DNA strands, each containing a long chain of monomer nucleotides, wound around each other. Maurice was included in the Nobel Prize won by Crick and Watson because he brought to those two key XRays produced by anther DNS Researcher, Rosalind Franklin. And that is the big controversy. Her research was very significant but was she mentioned in the discovery announcement or the Nobel. Supposedlyshe was left off the Nobel because she died of ovarian cancer before he Nobel was awarded. So, let’s hear it for Rosalind. Bonus: A Bismarck is a delectable pastry, basically a long raised donut split along the top and filled with whipped cream and often razzberry jelly or syrup. You could probably fill it with caramel or chocolate too.
Instead of just waiting for something to happen, you just have to go out and do it. Maybe if focused more on finding typos I wouldn’t notice how long I have been sitting here waiting for something to happen.
