Today's Tids Issue 5,176
The simplicity of pure love:
Beauty is everywhere. Let your eyes roam freely to find it.
Today is National Blueberry Cheesecake Day. There's a little beauty in there somewhere.
There was a small incident in a meeting recently where several people were extolling the talents of a certain woman. Then somebody mentioned that she was the sister of a man who was apparently highly disliked by the extollers. Then one, then two in the twinkling of an eye said, maybe I won't listen to that (That marvelously talented) woman anymore. How small have our minds become? How intolerant?
One of the biggest looming problems coming out of Ukraine is world starvation. Apparently, there are tons upon tons of wheat piled up in Ukraine ports on the Balck Sea. Russia seems focused on closing and controlling those ports. If they succeed, Nations around the world, plain and simple, will endure starving populations and potentially deaths of millions. There is talk of bringing in UN fleets to open the ports and provide safe passage. But that would more than likely escalate this ugly assault on humankind.
The Question:
Today is Stevie Nicks' Birthday. She is 74. What are her top five songs. Have I used this Q before? Probably. I like Stevie Nicks.

“The first thing I ever got my hands on was Andy Griffith's 'What It Was, Was Football.' I was fascinated with the fact that every syllable made it funny, and I would laugh even though I didn't know what any of it meant.” Ron White
The Tids in a very small l way is a little like life. There are thoughts of just about everything that exists but some people only dwell on what don’t
I know great people who live their lives simply, do great little things for others and find much beauty along the way, and some observers say they aren’t doing anything with their lives. How silly is that.
Speaking of the wrong moment, Beto certainly picked a bad time to go maniacally political in front of grieving parents in there very own saddest moment ever. Politics does make people stupid more often than not.
I always think it is odd that people tend to look for negatives first in anything when there is so much else to find.
Here’s another interesting quote from Ron White, who is also a very funny man. But this is kind of poignant: “Years ago, while I was watching a baseball game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Texas Rangers, I remember staring in awe at Cal Ripken. I realized during this game that 'you don't have to be flashy' or have 'power numbers' to be great. It's about the simple things that are the hard things. It's about leadership, work ethic and commitment.”
All of these shooters must have one thing in common: Mental illness. That appears to be something to work on. The human side.
The Answer:
Number one is Gold Dust Woman. That is followed by Riannon, Edge of Seventeen, Landslide, Dreams, Sorcerer, Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around (With Tom Petty), Storms and at #10, Stand Back. One of my favorites, Sara only made #25.
Since SN’s Sara only came in #25, I’ll feature it in closing to begin a good Thursday. Fairis fair.
