Is it July yet?

Today's Tids Issue 5.738

It's like everything else:

Well, the Eagle flew and soared high. They really played a great game on O and D. But it is beginning to become obvious that the producers of this entertainment extravaganza have forgotten that in essence it is supposed to be a football game, not a vehicle of interest sort of squeezed in-between back story events.

I had tis nagging desire to eat a bowl of ice cream last night. It was there all day since I realized it was Super Bowl Sundae.

The Democrats have learned finally that going after DT only strengthens the resolve of his core supporters. So, what could be better for a new strategy than going after an unelected Musk as a new n bogeyman and a means to create a unifying anger among their supporters against the admin.

Trump is going to discontinue Pennies. Oops, there goes my options in copper mining. We can expect everything now rounded up to the nearest nickel.

"How do you know when you have run out of invisible ink?” --SW

The Question:

The 40-22 score last night in SB 59 was not indicative of how Dominant the Eagles were. What are the five biggest Super Bowl trouncing's in history?

The Headlines:

--Stocks Rebound from Miserable Friday After Trump Announces Steel, Aluminum Tariffs.

--Philadelphia Eagles Dominate KC in Superbowl Win; Hurts Wins MVP but Acknowledges Huge Effort form Defense.

--Suddenly Spain's Economy is the Envy of Europe

--Trump Doubles Down his Plan to Take Over Gaza.

--Hamas Says It is Suspending Release of Hostages; Both Sides Accuse the Other of Breaking the Deal; Israel Military Placed on High Alert.

I saw a New York Times Headline, “All you need to know to watch a super bowl game.” Say what... like press on off button.. What it didn't mention was to Record so you could skip through the commercials and extraneous stuff which seemed more interruptive than usual.. One of the more egregious commercial interruptions I've ever seen came just after Philly came up a yard and a half short of the goal line. The team was eager to continue the momentum! But using an excuse of the need for replay review Btw, (Which was clearly evident in a second) the game at the height of excitement was paused for at least five minutes. What a burden on eager Philly players suddenly forced into thumb twiddling.

Have you noticed that Israel is getting back a handful of hostages, In return Hamas is getting back teh nucleus for a small army of seasoned fighters.

This morning, I read X (Twitter) comments about an innocuous little irritation about the TV SB broadcast visual. and i am so happy I am not a part of the social network mentality.

The Magnificent Seven have quickly become the Lackluster Six. Nothing lasts forever, especially in tech.

The only commercial I remember is the little girl planting a potato.

As far as the half time Kendrick Lamar show went, I can only echo comments I heard this morning from a relatively intelligent, millennial music industry-oriented radio host saying he didn't understand it either, so don't think you are out of it because you are old

This SB focus on celebrities is ruining the sense of the game at least to me. But the SB really is mostly about the building of a world wide audience.

A new President always has the advantage over the other party, sitting in his chair issuing orders. But orders are limited in a republic. No legislation has been passed, and when it gets going the focus of Congress will be on some super serious problems like the budget and continuing resolution to fund the governmentAnd of course, most importantly, the needs and concerns of their constituents.

Between you and me I like having Canada as a nice friendly neighbor.

Two industries dominate in the consumption of SteelAutomotive and Construction. In 2024 Steel Imports were up and Domestic shipments were down. Just thought I’d throw a couple, of facts into the hopper.

“I almost had a psychic f girlfriend, but she left me before we met.”  --SW.

Do Celebrities who sing the National Anthem feel it, or are they just using the opportunity to be different

BTW, the entertainment segment I remember most was the Lady Gaga song tribute to the New Orleans Tragedy. Did she purposely where a bigger brimmed hat than Melania? That is the question.

Where would Neville Mariner of Saint Martin of the Fields Orchestra be in the hearts of Americans without NPR Classical music?

The Answer:

The five biggest Blowouts in SB history were SB 24 – SF 55, Denver 10; SB 20 Chi 46, NE 19; SB 27 Dallas 52, Buff 17; SB 48 Seattle 43, Denver 8; SB 22 Wash 42, Denver 10. With an 18-point differential The Eagles are up there with the most Lopsided Victory list.

I don’t mind the rhythm of Rap music, but it does get boring for sure.  I always liked the driving rhythm of this somewhat obscure jazz classic:
