Life is.

Today's Tids Issue 5720

Apple Pie and whatever:

You can’t legislate or edict away emotions.

Of all the things I try to resist, one of the hardest is passing by a display of cheese Danish.

Hello—Lovers! Its heart filled February. Hearts are everywhere, added to everything for extra sales power. But hearts aren’t meant to be toyed with because when you come right down to it, hearts are everything, physically and emotionally. The second month is always my favorite of great presidents now usurped, from George and Abe by all Presidents good and bad. You know, like DEI for country leaders so feelings aren't hurt.  And of course, you will notice pretty quickly it is Black History Month. It is the shortest month and sometime towards the end we’ll convince ourselves that spring is near, and that all of those hearts are bursting into flowers everywhere.

Why do I have this dreaded thought that by using AI it will eventually become me.

Then the remnants of me will just lay around listening to beautiful music like the second movement of Saint Sans “Organ” Symphony.

The good news is that the Red Sox equipment truck leaves for Fort Meyers Flarida today. The question remains, do they have any players who know how to use it?

The Question:

Name the top ten so-called early RnR pop icons of the 1950’s. Yet the fifties were filled with lots of great singers. Name ten others who were huge back then.

The Headlines:

--Market opens in Pits but Dow Comes Back After Mexico Border Deal has Trump Pausing Tariffs for Month; DT Says Canada Talks Going Well; Nasdaq Remains Significantly lower.

--Canadians Boo US Anthem at NHL and NBA Games.

--Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar big Winners at Grammies, Swift and Eilish Snubbed.

--AA Airplane Body hauled Form Po atomic.

--Trump Says there are White House Reins on Musk.

When I watch the end of college basketball games and the opposing coaches and players line up to shake hands, why do I think that these coaches are finding it a great way to recruit from the next transfer portal. Good sportsmanship? Hah!

I rant from time-to-time over the usurping of the past. Like anything with tomato and lettuce between bread isa BLT and any white alcohol with anything is a martini, But the most ludicrous, egregious usurpation of all time is the idea of this thing called Shrimp Scampi where scampi is the Italian word meaning shrimp that has become to mean a garlic sauce.

I'll tell you what contrarianism is – when Spell check or other   software guidance systems give me hints on spelling and grammar, I don't believe them. Maybe that's why I had so much trouble with English classes in college

Symphonic performances should not end with applause; they should be absorbed in stunning silence that follows

The paradox of the moment is that the stock markets day to day will be difficult to read but the overall sense is one of optimism.

I was in a store the other day and saw a new brand of pre-made frozen burgers. -- “Thin Burgers”! How cook is that. The trend these days in restaurants is to offer half-a-cow burgers that a lot of people just find too gargantuan for a happy meal. Not to mention juices running down your chin. I don't buy premade frozen burgers but i like the way that company thinks... The taste without the bloat!

I'm dreaming ahead. So here’s a current list of best golf balls for old for low congression swingers – The Calloway Super soft seems number one. But there are good reasons for the rest: Wilson Duo Soft, Titleist ProV1 (Yes, that one I was warned against because of slow club speed), Titleist Tour Soft, Srixon Soft Feel and Taylor Made 5TPX. It is also recommended that seniors use vividly colored balls so they can see where they go. But I found myself getting dizzy standing over colored balls adding to the doddling confucsion over how to hit a golf ball.

The Answer:

Number One was you know who – Elvis. (Not mine) Next was Fats Dominio (Mine). Then Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Everly Brothers, Bill Haley and the Comets, Ray Charels, Buddy Holly, the Clovers and #10, the great Platters. This list certain represents the icons of early rock but also super popular during that great decade were Patti Page, Tony Bennet, Les Paul and Mary Ford, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Jo Stafford, Nat King Coles. Frankie Lyman, Sam Cook, Paul Anka, Frankie Laine, Johnny Ray, Guy Mitchell, Doris Day, Pat Boone, The Maguire Sisters, Bo Diddly, the Four Aces, Dave Brubeck, Rosemary Clooney and Marty Robbins. Oh yeah, Connie Francis and Teresa Brewer. So manySo many tunes that got me through years of figuring out who i might be. Maybe that’s why I still play them today.

Today is the 66th anniversary of the plane crash that took the lives of RnR singers Richie Valens, Buddy Holly and “The Big Bopper” (JJ Richardson. There's only one song to play today, right:
